We visited the China Garden after a last minute diversion. We went upstairs to the bar/restaurant area. At first glance the place did look a bit tired and basic. We were quickly sat at a table. Due to a low priced menu and being a bit of a porker i opted for two starters and a main. The starters were Hot & Sour Soup and Salt and Chilli squid. Both quickly arrived and were very good. The phrase 'eyes too big for your belly' comes to mind as these were two great portion sizes. The main came after a little much needed break. Sweet and Sour Pork (cantonese style) was the main and was freshly prepared. The sauce carried a little too much soy for my liking but was very tasty. So all in all a very impressive feed at a very very impressive price. We shall be back!
