Kennys is one of three pubs within 100 yards of each other serving food in Lucan. So to stay in the game the food has to be good and reasonably priced . The menu caters for all tastes with dishes like curries, steak , burgers ect. The food is freshly made and service was good and friendly. I would recommend Kennys as a decent place for good pub grub.

I have eat in Kennys on a few occasions normally for lunch when you get good value and nice food. However this week i was in twice and on both occasions I was disappointed in both the service and size portions. My girlfriend ordered a toasted sandwhich, we waited over 10 mins ( I had eaten my dinner) we went back up to enquire about the sandwhich we were told they had forgotten about her order. My shepards pie was more potatoe than beef. Earlier in the week I ordered from the main menu as carvery had closed, i ordered the chicken fajita wraps, i was very disappointed with the size for the cost €14. The meal had about 6-8 pieces of chciken, the receipe was to include peppers and onions however mine did not have any, it was only possible to fill one of the wraps with the food on the plate.

I called in here at the end of lunch time, not sure if the carvery was finished. The chef was so friendly and gave me a plate of veggies at a fantastic price. It was so nice to get such nice service! The place was really welcoming and there's a relaxed atmosphere there. Quite a typical pub. The food was good, typical carvery food. The value was excellent. I will definitely go back, due to the friendliness of the staff in particular.

Ate here last night and i had the sirloin steak which to be honest wasnt great. There was so much excess fat on it that it was quite off putting, it was served with mushrooms and half a cherry tomoate and some chips with Jack Daniels pepper sauce. The Jack Daniels pepper sauce was probably the nicest part of the dish but to me it was jst pepper sauce. There was a nice warm atmosphere which was nice but i felt the staff were a little intrusive and were constantly asking if all was ok, nice venue pity about the food. Dont think i will be back

Pooped in here and chose the Chicken Caesar Salad from the al la carte available from 3pm. Best Caesar Salad I've had anywhere and thats no word of a lie. Slightly over-priced I thought for the salad. Service was prompt. Nice selection of Wines and the menu was quite good too. Not many around at that time of day but thoroghly enjoyable. Situated in the heart of Lucan Village.

For a pub, the food here really is special. They have different specials for each day of the week. I got the special that evening, Blackened Cajun Salmon..one of the nicest salmon dishes I've eaten out. I would definitely recommend this. My dining buddy got the curry which was also lovely but not quite up there with the salmon..I guessed this much from the envious glances across the table! Well done Kennys!
