A bad evening for the staff, the restaurant and ultimately for us as paying customers. The service was depersonalised, tardy and totally lacking in awareness of client satisfaction. The food and drinks were substandard. To add to a bad experience, accountability from staff and management during the experience and particularly afterwards was "absent without leave". Never again :( They have lost four regular clients.

Ravellos is a firm favourite of ours, we have been dining here for years! The food and service is consistently excellent. As well as the a la carte menu there are early bird and all day menus and children's menu available. It's great to have such a lovely restaurant so close to home and yet still feel like you went out. Over the years I think we have tried everything from their menu, although it does change from time to time so you never get bored! Especially love the paintings to add to the authenticity of this Italian restaurant. Great for families, groups and couples, can't fault it.

I'm glad I ignored the older reviews and my own previous experience dating back to when the restaurant opened initially. We went to Ravello's today ( 5 adults and a 5 year old ) for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Now, granted that there was only one other family there, it's a bit hard to judge atmosphere but based on decor, cleanliness and service ,I will assume that when it's crowded the atmosphere is good. Service was good but then, it would have been a bit much if it was not, given the number of people there. Now to the real reason for visiting a restaurant - the grub. In short, excellent. Not one complaint. We each made different menu choices - starters, mains and desserts. Excellent all round. As for cost, mid range but good value. It's not often that at least one person in a group does not have some complaint but Ravello's today managed an almost perfect score from this family. I intend to visit again when it's busier and see if standards are maintained.

I went with a group on new years eve for Lunch. The place was empty and we soon discovered why.. We order and waited 50 mins for the food to arrive with no apology. We had a number of children with us and the wait was terrible for chips and chicken. The adults ordered burgers, I ordered one without onion and tomatoes, it came with onion and tomatoes. We had a few other mistakes with our order. The burgers where ok but no way worth over 13 euro's eaach as charged. We where asked if we wanted tomato sauce and mayo we said yes and had no idea that .80 cent was to be added to our bill, I know it is just .80 cent but it felt like an insult. Take our advice never go here unless you want over priced food with terrible service.

Pizzas are good, nice thin base. Food is generally good, perfect for a quick meal but isn't anything special. Staff are generally good, available at a wave but happy to leave you relax at your table without interruption.

One of our favourite local restaurants as it's warm, friendly and familiar and the food never lets you down. We've eaten here so often and we love it. The staff are so friendly and helpful. If they did a little bit more with the decor and ambience it would be even better. They use to play lovely Italian music but not so mad on the live singer. He's really good but it just doesn't fit with the restaurant nor the Heineken branded candle holders. It would also be nice to see more management or owner presence. But all in all, it's a great place for a informal tasty meal with family and friends with great value.

My self, wife and 2 friends were in for a night out as we arrived we were seated and the place was full and there was life music which was great we had tiger prawns and scallops for starter and fillet steak and sea-bass for main it was amazing , only 2 of us went for desserts and had meringue and chocolate fondant it was delicious :))) Would definitely recommend to our friends as we only moved home in the area :))) Well done Ravellos ( also heard that they do really good pizza's )

It appears to me from our recent visit to Ravellos that the staff have lost interest in their customers. Very long delays between courses, dirty plates left on table. no enquiries to see if everything was ok, and no smiles. At a time when restaurants should be doing all they can to hold on to their customers this is not acceptable. The Sunday early bird special was good value and the food was nice, but it would take more than good food to bring me back.

Have been here a few times. The food is lovely but a little overpriced. The service is good any time we have been there. The live music is awful though, when you want a nice quiet meal the music just ruins the atmosphere. The volume is always waaaaay too loud. It adds no benefit to anything. We ate our food and got out of there asap. Now we just go on a week day so we can have the food in peace and quiet. Nice restaurant apart from the music. The food is always nice.

I visit here pretty regularly as its local. However, it really isn't great. The food is good, if a little pricey. The atmosphere is non-existent though which is surprising as all the staff (bar 1 waitress who really seems to resent serving customers) are pleasant. They've started music there at weekends which is DEAFENING and adds nothing to atmosphere. Our kids love it - hence our returns

I've been inside for a sit-down meal a few times, but I've not been impressed. Neither with the food or the atmosphere. Perhaps it's me :-/ I really should give it another go and let you know! Anyhow, I'm a regular collector of take away pizza from their take-away door beside the main restaurant. Their plain pizzas are really very good. I never get anything toppings on pizzas, and prefer to add my own when I get home - chorizo, chipotle chilli etc.. I'ts bizzare that I simply love these pizzas from Ravellos, as it's the same kitchen, the same chefs as the sit-in restaurant?!? I was even disappointed with the tiramisu, it was a bought in cake, and I would have thought it would have been homemade by the Italians in the kitchen!!?
