i made a booking approx 3 weeks before hand as it had stated to do so but when i rang on the day to make sure everything was ok i was told they didn't have a booking for us. i originally booked for 5.30pm and when i went to book again they told me the restaurant didn't open until 6pm. i got there and the staff didn't seem to belive that i had orignally booked it 3 weeks ago that i was chancing my arm. they then got the food order wrong when ordered. the wine was nearly 7 euro for a glass of house wine. i wouldn't rush back there in a hurray. i got it as a present for someone and it was a bit embarrasing at how we were treated at 1st.

I visited here with my O/H with menupages Voucher, I was impressed by the high standers of food, it has improved a lot since the last time I was there, the new menu is spot on, only had one problem that my O/H steak wasn't well done like he asked and was sent back, he was told he never asked for it that way, said he should have said should be cooked through. I will visit again, waiting staff very friendly

Dined here on a Menupages deal (€20 for €40 worth) on a Friday evening at 7pm. Restaurant was very quiet - only one other table occupied. We both had the steaks which were served on mash with veg which was delicious and although we were tempted with the desserts on offer were too full. As a few more people came in, we had to wait some time to ask for our bill but all in all it was a lovely evening.

We had a wonderful dining experience using a menupages voucher. We could not fault the food or the service. My partner had the pate to start. It was a generous portion and very tasty. I had the goats cheese which was the nicest I ever had. The cheese was just the right temperature nicely gooey which also enhanced the flavour. It was accompanied by beetroot leaves and pumpkin seeds. The star of our meal without a doubt For main I had the lamb cooked to perfection and very tender. This came with mash which could have been a little hotter. Overall though a very good dish. My partner had chicken was just as good as the lamb. For afters a very hot tasty cappuccino. We could not fault the meal at all. It was extremely well presented and staff were very helpful and friendly. A very professional meal. Well done

Dined here last night on a Menu Pages Voucher. I had the soup which was delicious and my partner had the cesar salad which he thoroughly enjoyed. For mains I had the chicken supreme and my other half had medely of fish. Both dishes were beautifully presented and the portions were ample so much so that we had no room for dessert. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the service was excellent. The restaurant wasn't busy which is why I knocked a half point off for atmosphere. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely return.

The atmosphere and layout of The Winter Garden is warm and inviting. The authentic brickwork really adds to this. We were greeted warmly at the door and I was really pleased with the service, as the waitress was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the Duck Spring Roll and was impressed, although it wasn't served piping hot. For mains I had the Fillet Steak with mash and a side order of fried onions. This was delicious, the only drawback was that the steak was slightly overdone, but it was still well cooked and tasty. The food was also extremely good value. I would definietly return.

availed of the early bird on offer here about 2 weeks ago - really good value considering the quality of food i think. both of us went for the king prawns for starter - delish - i do love my prawns! for mains i went for the salmon and my friend went for the chicken - again no complaints there - we were both pretty hungry so plates were cleared! we were only going to have teh one drink but it was a really relaxing atmosphere on the day so we decided to stay for a few - very bold on a school night really :) all in all a very enjoyable evening!

Pub food was good , huge portions, appetising and very tasty. Staff very attentive , but that could have been explained by the lack of customers. I would have no hesistation in reccommending it for a meal . Televisions all over the place , even the ladies loo! great for footie fans, not so good for non fans

We came here for lunch, following a Confirmation ceremony. Service was excellent and the variety and quality of food was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed it and my wife is bringing me back there for a family lunch on my birthday. (We had also been here for a meal following a Christening last year and everyone enjoyed the meal that day too).
