Went for diner yesterday. Starters, we had the wings and I'd safely say they were the nicest wings I've tasted in a long time. For mains, my stake was perfectly cooked and portion sizes were good also. Live music, good food and Guinness... a perfect back holiday Monday retreat.

Waited well over an hour to be servered our food, then 30 minutes after we had placed our order we were informed one of the dishes we had was not available, why it took so long to inform us this I don't know. Steak was very tough and over cooked. Won't be back

Nice food. Visit here often for lunch and dinner. Chicken Kievs are really nice and you get two which comes with mash and veg. Roast is also very nice. Good value too.

Paid a visit here for lunch. on arrival we asked for high chair for toddler. ten minutes later we had ask again for it. Ordered nacho's and half chicken. Food arrived and presentation wasn't good, either was taste. Nacho's over cooked and main meal was dry. Would not recommend here. Staff weren't very helpful either

Was delighted with the overall service even though it started out badly with my wife ripping her tights on a nail sticking out of the seat

Been here my times for sunday lunch/dinner. Lovely pub food. Especially garlic mushrooms for a starter. Good place to eat and watch football or sports on the many tv's around the place.

Group of us came for nice family dinner and were very pleased with everything. There is an extensive menu to suit all tastes. I had the bruschetta to start which was beautiful. There was no complaints at our table, staff were friedly and service prompt. We also enjoyed some drinks downstairs afterwards.

There is a great varied menu and the portions are quite big. It's reasonably priced pub grub. Two of us shared the mixed platter starter for 2 which consisted of soggy greasy onion rings, spring rolls etc won't be having that again, but the rest of our meal was tasty enough to be fair. We asked for water 3 or 4 times from our waitress and she kept forgetting about us! Overall it was pleasant enough though and I would return.

Great Pub to go to, always a great atmosphere. Huge portions. Quality for the food has gone down since before xmas, but before that it was always good. I hope it improves again as it is a great spot. Love the chicken slivers with pepper sauce.

I stopped by for lunch in the carvery one afternoon and was very impressed with not only the food but also the staff. My curiosity got the most of me for the starters of garden pea and mint soup, which to my delight the chef insisted he make me sample before ordering and was one of the most delicious soups I have tasted. The main course that followed was equally as good, I really recommend The Laurels to anyone for not only great food but friendly and courteous staff.

I love calling into the Laurels for pub grub during the week when I can't be bothered cooking. Food is always lovely and staff are attentive without being intrusive. Always order the same thing though for some reason despite the menu being huge!
