A lovely eatery, lovely friendly staff and very clean pub. It was our pleasure to visit and a repeat is on the way. Well done all really excellent all the way and thank you for making our evening great

Great pub food at great prices. Early bird is brilliant value at €18.95. Pity it's so quiet given the standard of food as it impacts on the atmosphere. I've been here on two occasions recently and both times food was very good with lots of choice, and portions are very generous in size. The beef pie in particular is delicious. Had some problems with our waiter though on the last occasion. I was treating a friend to dinner and asked for the value / early bird menu only to be told I was too late at it was 7.40pm and it ended at 730. I told the waiter I had been here the precious week at 9pm and it hadn't been a problem. The waiter reluctantly agreed to give us the value menu which clearly says "early bird available all night Monday to Wednesday". I pointed this out to the waiter but he didn't appear to agree or understand. When we got the bill we were charged full price for dessert but at that point I didn't have the energy to say it to waiter nor did I want to embarrass my friend but I was annoyed and this would put me off returning. We were also charged full price for our two glasses of wine despite the offer including a glass of house wine for €4 but again it felt too difficult to explain to the waiter who was disinterested (or maybe it was a language barrier) The week before however we had a lovely waiter serve us without any problems. . I think staff need to be more informed about the menus and food

Loved it, true Dublin atmosphere, not top class grub but well worth the value

We ate in Vaughans on Mothers day, and for some reason the restaurant was not busy at all, which I can only imagine was the reason for its lack of atmosphere. For starters the Chicken Liver pate was gorgeous, although my toast could have been "toasted', like my Mums was. The steak was superb, tender, and cooked to perfection sitting on a bed of mushroons and onions, served with a side of fries and pepper sauce. We will be back!!!!!

gorgeous food in a bar served at restaurant quality & service... house wine is lovely, and is served by the glass

This is a superb local gastro pub. The value menu is excellent with a wide choice. I brought m son and he had the chicken and mash, which was excellent, quality meat. The rubarb crumble and icecream was tart, with excellent vanilla icecream. The bar has O' Hara's IPA on draught. What's not to love !

Great choice on the menu and well priced too. I recommend the carrot and orange soup with Guinness bread if you are hungry. We also tried the grilled goats cheese and the wild rocket salad - both delicious. Service was excellent until a party of 12 came in which clearly had an impact on the waitress. Nevertheless, I would be happy to return.

Lunch there with colleagues. Only 5 tables filled, so they must be doing something wrong. It may have to be with the time it takes to take an order, and the 20-25 minutes wait for some dishes. Not good for a business lunch. Surely they are busy in the evening: the food is fabulous, the vegetarian menu offers at least 3 vegan options, I had the asparagus and wild mushrooms and oh la la, it was good. I also asked for some bread, which was delicious. I have had a few lunches in Vaughan's and it never let me down. Tip: if in a hurry, call with your order ready, that will make your visit more swift.

We enjoyed our recent visit to this restaurant. The service was great and the food was lovely. Steaks cooked to perfection and so tender. Would certainly go back in the future.

Vaughan's Eatery is a huge surprise ... one of those illusive gems that you usually hear about third hand but rarely chance upon yourself. The food here is magnificent. As a pub, primarily, you expect standard grub and hope it will be tasty. But in Vaughan's what you get is high-end restaurant food that is prepared and presented beautifully. The ingredients are clearly chosen with care and eye for freshness and quality. The service is impeccable - discreet and attentive. And to top it all off the value is amazing. One would be happy to pay serious money for the food in Vaughan's, but discovering that the sumptuous dishes that you could have been eating in an expensive city-centre restaurant are charged at suburb pub prices, leaves you wondering if the whole thing was just a dream. Thoroughly, thoroughly recommend it.

Vaughans and Pub Grub do not belong in the same sentence. Unfortunately, we missed out on the Menupages offer last November and I was since been straining my eyes watching out for another offer! We went there with friends who were home from USA. It was a wonderful night. Atmosphere is second to none. We were sitting on the second level and the whole area was full. On previous occasions I was lucky to get a table in the upper section which I would prefer with it's genuine restaurant atmosphere and white linen cloths. Food was superb as always. Their house wine is the best in Dublin. What can I say about the service - it was PROFESSIONAL, friendly, efficient and helpful. I do not think I have ever witnessed such professional staff in any restaurant. Value was very good. We were too late for early bird and didnt have a voucher but it was still good value. I am still waiting for another Menupages offer!! However, with or without a voucher - we will be back

This really is a gem if you are looking for some top quality food that goes against the usual confines of "pub grub". Was passing looking to grab a quick panini or something and was literally blown away by the quality of the food in Vaughans. To say its truly top restaurant class is an understatement and for the price and quality its genuinely worth a visit. Couldn't recommend it more as the best place to eat in Terenure and surrounds.

Dining on a Sunday evening in a pub makes one think of battered fish and chips and crown of turkey.. Not Vaughan's.. The food was fantastic, bistro style and incredible value. I've been eating may way around Terenure and Vaughans was a wonderful surprise. The dining room is on the top floor with white linen dressed tables, Service is friendly and efficient and four of us had starters and mains with a bottle of wine for less that €100 which included a generous and well deserved tip.
