While we1ve refined the menu somewhat our regular customers will be glad to hear that the food is just as good, if not better than ever. As the well known food & restaurant critic Tom Doorley wrote in a recent review, the China Sichuan 'is a lot closer to the repertoire of the original restaurant ..and has the same zingy food and impeccable service'. And as the same critic puts it 'there's something about the food at the China Sichuan that demands experimentation'. So we invite you to come along and try for yourself.

Service was a little bit slow & waiter seemed under pressure. That was the only way I can excuse his manner! Food was delicious tho. Cocktail menu is amazing.

I've eaten here on numerous occasions and the food is always fantastic! The early bird and lunch menus in particular are amazing value!

This has been a long time family favourite of ours and I cannot recomment it highly enough. The value menu available all evening during the early part of the week and as an early bird at the weekend offers incredible value for money and the food never disappoints. Easy to reach after work with the Luas nearby. Not to be missed/.

I would normally choose a Chinese restaurant where Chinese would eat or by recommendation or word of mouth. Dined here last Tuesday evening with family. Nice food although a little small in portion size for their prize range. The cuisine was closer to an Asian-Fusion rather than anything ethnic Chinese or even anything remotely close to Sichuan, none the less still nice food. However the service was bland and just did the bear minimum from start to finish. For a Tuesday evening I saw 3 white waiters/waitress and 1 Asian waiter which is a lot for a small restaurant but we couldn’t find any of them most of the evening.

China Sichuan is the best Chinese no make that the best ethnic restaurant of any kind in Dublin. Great service and fantastic food in really classy dining room. Try the tea smoked duck or bon bon chicken, two of my favourites.

This restaurant was excellent. I loved the food, the service was excellent. A little pricey but worth it, my favourite Chinese restaurant in Dublin.

Enjoyed a meal here with some work colleagues today for lunch- had the two course lunch deal for €15 which was excellent value for money- I had the sweetcorn and chicken soup to start and the kung po chicken with cashews for mains- both very nice- not too heavy and had a lovely waitress to boot! Would recommend!

My last visit to the Sichuan was a disappointment. My starter-platter was mixed at best - the prawn was good, the spring-roll okay, the dumpling not great, and the ball of chicken was very poor; dry and over-cooked. For mains, I had 1/4 ducks and pancakes. One of my favourites and one I had had in the Sichuan back in 2009. Today's was very poor. Not very hot (more luke-warm than anything) and tasted of cardboard. Like it had been reheated. Same with my egg-fried rice. It stuck together like a brick, was not hot and had that same reheated taste. I ate very little rice and about half of the duck. My friend had ordered prawns and I sampled 2 of hers - very nice; crisp and tasty. But, she also claimed her rice was below standard. Service was feeble. When we arrived they got us to order our food before asking us what we'd like to drink; it really felt as if they were in a hurry. When the mains arrived, there was no rice for me. Salt I asked for was forgotten, so I had to ask again. The wrong dessert arrived for my friend. Another friend asked for coffee, he didn't get it, but it was charged to us on the bill. This we sent back, of course, asking them to recalculate. A poor meal, and a big disappointment.

A favourite of mine for a number of years now, cannot recall a bad meal. Probably visit twice a month on average and always get a friendly, conversational welcome from Kevin.
