Located in the heart of Rathmines this is without doubt one of the coolest bars in the city. It is fast gaining a reputation as a trendy lounge bar hangout. Subtly lit with a high ceiling and plenty of couches and low tables, it serves very good food at reasonable prices from 12 to 10pm daily. Resident dj's play funked up grooves from Thursday to Saturday night. Open Late Thurs/Fri/Sat and Bank Holiday Sundays

Don't order food there, unless you're ready to take on specials like deep fried brie with tesco strawberry jam (0.99, buy one get one free). Staff looks bored to death and lost the ability to smile in early 19th century. Coaches are comfy though.

I had a party with friends in here on Friday night. Absolutely perfect party venue - the staff dressed up the table with balloons without us even asking and the DJ went out of his way to play our requests! Music was really good overall and we could dance and get to the bar without it being too crowded. Perfect place to celebrate an occasion!

I have eaten here on a couple of occasions, the food is consistent however I have found the staff to be impatient and rude. On my last visit, I felt rushed as if they couldn't wait to get you out the door, I found this to be particularly bizarre as it was very quiet at the time! The location is excellent and for this reason I would go back but not with an expectation to be treated well by the staff!

Went here my girlfriend after going to the cinema and was looking for a bite to eat and a pint. I got the steak sandwich and a pint of Fischers. The sandwich was very nice and came with chips and salad. Very happy they served Fischers as it's an excellent beer. Atmosphere and staff were good too.

We went here on a Saturday evening when we were stuck for something to do and didn't want to have dinner at home. I love this place. When we got there however, all the couches were taken so we had to sit on the high stools at the back. I was worried that we'd have to eat back there, because it's not a very comfortable place to eat (great for drinks though!), but the girls working there are really attentive and when they knew we were ordering food, they offered us the next available couch-table. It was really busy that evening, so I was impressed at their service. The food was fantastc (I ordered the steak sandwich and it was perfect-just as I ordered it), the portions were really generous and the staff very attentive. Great value for money!

on a half day from work, so after shopping town came in here laden down with bags, and sank into one of their very comfie sofas. Nice enough menu, and went for the club sandwich. It was really good, came with wedges, which were just ok. Really enjoyed the club it was just what I needed, along with a nice glass of white wine it was a really relaxing hour. I'll definately be back, its a nice friendly place and the service is good.

I had the chicken salad. Salad was good but had a bit too much dressing. Portion size was decent. Service was average. Same as you would get anywhere. Chicken salad was 9.95 on the specials board. I thought the price was ok. Not too expensive but resonably priced. I have always found everything it Toast average, service, atmosphere and food.

I went here with 2 friends for a meal last Friday evening, the food was as cheap as chips and of very good quality. The wine prices were also very reasonable. I thought it was the ideal place to go for a good quality cheap light meal. Staff were very efficient and friendly, I will definitely revisit this restaurant agian.

Love to go here on a Sunday, stretch out, read the papers and just relax. The staff are great, dont mind you sitting there as long as you want. Food is yummy - great full Irish, and a good selection of papers to read. The perfect Sunday morning!

Have been to toast a few times for food. Good for laid back cheap eats and a catch up during the day. Food is good and the staff are friendly but not too in your face!

Very nice place in the heart of Rathmines, where it is very difficult to find somewhere nice and cosy without TV sets blaring in your ear. I have been to this place on my own for coffee and a read of the paper and I recently met friends here for lunch. The place is all set out with comfortable couches, and a nice bright section to the front. We had their mozarella pizas, which are excellent value at 8.95. The staff are always very friendly and efficient and deliver menus to you expediently. A really nice place, in fact, the best in Rathmines by a long shot.

Excellent place for a nice pint and some pub grub. We were in the front of the bar, and at the back was some big party and you'd barely notice it, a well laid out bar. Service was great, always appearing whenever your glass neared empty.

Toast is a great place. I always meet my friends here and we always enjoy few drinks and a perfect pub grab. I had sandwitches, spring rolls, wedges etc. and was always very happy with my food, however it is nothing too special so don't expect too much. What I like about toast is the atmosphere, I love coming here on Sunday and grab quick food, my boyfriend enoying the football and me just reading the newspapers on the comfy sofas. I also recomended it in the evenings as music is fab! The stuff are too much sometimes but you can get your drink without going to the bar. Typicall but very enjoyable bar and a perfect spot in Rathmines, everyone would like it.

I like the atmosphere in here although management does seem to put the fear of god in their staff, which can be a little uncomfortable at times. I got the vegetarian cannelloni which was not quite what I expected it to be, so I made a complaint. The complaint was handled very professionally and my meal was replaced without a fuss, something I very much appreciated. The bar and floor staff are always friendly here and the music at nights is always good. Prices are reasonable.

This is nice for a bite to eat if you're looking for something not-too-exciting or are staying for a few drinks or heading on somewhere. Atmosphere is good. I'd recommend sitting at a table rather than trying to perch, balance and eat from the couch. Nice for lunch. Food is not anything special but it's good
