Fresh, authentic, rustic Palestinian & Middle Eastern food with a hint of the Mediterranean. Pomegranate, sumac, almonds, za’atar, mint, lemons, figs, pine nuts all add to the smell of real Palestinian food, that you can enjoy in our eclectic restaurant. First time eating in Shakshuka. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hidden away, small restaurant to have a great vibe and a lively weekend feel when we walked in. We had to wait for ten minutes or so for our table to become vacant. Staff friendly and interesting food. Would definitely eat there again. BYOB (€4) is always an added attraction!

This was my first time visiting this gem of a restaurant. Wonderful smells and a cosy atmosphere welcomed me as I walked in the door. Food was delicious - very fresh and full of flavour. I had baba ganoush which was amazing. Mujadarra for main course was also great. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere and good value. Will definitely be back.

My wife and 2 children went there for dinner and were delighted with the humus and spicey dishes served up. Very good meals, and very good value!

We found a treasure!nnThe 'deal' sounded good but this was far above expecfations.nnI started with calamari which was served with a small salad and a garlic sause. The calamari was tender - just right. OH had falafel with hummus and salad served with light flat bread, also very good.nnFor 'Main' I had Mashawi Mushakla which was grilled cubes of lamb and chicken and minced lamb, again cooked to perfection and served with salad and sauce. OH had Kofta Pil Tahini which was quite a surprise - again minced lamb and chicken served in a very interesting (and tasty) tahina sauce with potatoes, salad and (though not nentioned on the menu) very well prepared rice.nnFor dessert I could not resist baklava - a long-time davourite - but the almond and fig cake served with greek yoghurt selected by OH was even better.nnThe meal was rounded off by arabic coffee for him and cardomon tea for me.nnWe shall definitely return!

Went to Shakshuka on Sunday evening for a meal. I got the spinach and cheese filo pastries for starter and they were spectacular! Bursting with flavour. I got a lamb dish with tahini sauce for my main and again, couldn’t fault it. Service was good and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. A visit is recommended!

WELL DONE! Service was great from the beginning. Very attentive waiter who during the course of the meal stopped for a chat. Starters were mediocre. Tiger prawns in a sauce that was too heavy and lamb meat-balls that were too dry. Mains were excellent, chicken for my partner and I had a lamb dish. Desert of baklawah and ice-cream also very good. Definitely recommend the place - we had been before when it was still called "Little Jerusalem"
