About Us -

Mehek is the result of hardwork and efforts of a husband wife team Raj and Aman. Working together since 2002 in Ireland, operating the successful Bombay Bistro and finally opening Mehek in march 2012. What a journey it has been for us to place Indian Cuisine in the forefront. On a level with some of the best cuisines to make Mehek as one of Dublin’s finest Indian Restaurant.

Our Restaurant -
Mehek means Aroma and is located in Rathgar Village in the heart of South Dublin.
Our team endeavour to present the sheer expressive range of Traditional Indian Cuisine. An Atmosphere rich in Indian Style and Hospitality welcomes the guest.
Decorated in simple colours, traditional Indian carvings, cloth upholstery and crisp linen, our restaurant has a distint homely feel.
The moderate size of our Restaurant allows us to prepare the food without rushing and our staff strives to offer personalised care and attention to our guests. Our aim is to create a memorable experience for our guests, one filled with happy moments and wonderful flavours.

Our Food -
At Mehek, our Menu is a unique combination of Indian Cuisine from all over the Sub Continent seasoned with delicate yet intricate marinades. We use seasonal Irish Produce wherever possible, prepared using the Traditional Tandoori Oven, to create fresh healthy food with authentic Indian flavours.

A perfect disasternnI went on with a high expectation as one of my friend highly recommended it.nBut I find nothing in their food except curry sauce and chilli powder. I had a spicy chicken dish it was a blunder just chilli and garlic no spices even my wife was not happy with her dish the rice was hard.nThe service was OK nothing wrong to complain.won't be back anytime.n

First time to this restaurant last night with my wife. We both loved the food here. They were a bit under staffed but would not fault that. Service was very good & the food was excellent. Will definitely be going back

I recently enjoyed a very good meal here. Staff were excellent and comp'd a lovely glass of wine for both of us as they prepared our table. Food is well flavored and good quality.

Had my first visit to this restaurant on Friday. Its very clean and the staff are polite and courteous. We were shown to a window table and left with menus. Poppadoms and chutney arrived and were very tasty, although the poppadoms were shop bought the chutneys seemed home made. We ordered a calamari to start which was nice but overcooked which did detract from what could have been a lovely dish. For mains we had lamb cutlets 3 for €20, came with nothing and very poor value, not particularly succulent, over cooked just a disappointment really. The restaurants signature dish is a mixed biryani, its OK a mix of prawn, beef and lamb but again I didn't feel that we got value for money. Overall its a disappointment at its price point. I think you get better value and better food next door at Illuminati where the experience is more enveloping and the food is a significant step up for a similar price point.

Visited this restaurant last night had a lovely meal the reason for the low score for the atmosphere was due to the fact that the restaurant was empty but the service was good and would like to visit again maybe at a weekend would definitely recommend the food.

We dropped in for the early bird around 6.30 so the atmosphere was 'subdued' but we were there for food. The meal was full of excellent flavors. starters were Samosa for me and plenty to begin with here. My wife had Chicken tikkla maltani which could easily be shared, we already having had dips and prawn crackers on the house. The main course for both were lamb dishes. Be warned their mild is on the mils/hot side but excellent. I had Palak Gosht, lean lamb done in spinage ginger and garlic. My wife tried Lamb Chettinad very spicy done with coconut milk. Finishing off with nan bread and pulo rice. We even went off with a 'doggy-bag' or next day's lunch. The red and white wine we tasted topped off and excellent meal.

I was a regular when Raj operatedThe Bombay Bistro in Rush North County Dublin, and was delighted to find him again in Mehek Rathgar. We dined there last night and as expected the food was simply outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive. We dined quite early in the evening so there were not many other diners present during our visit. The Squid was the most tender I've experienced and the lamb karahi could not have been nicer. This has to be one of the top Indian Restaurants in Ireland. Strongly Recommended. I will be back very soon.
