Nice location for a cafe, but thats where it ends. The food is very average and lacks any sort of imagination. The bagel special of pineapple and ham was very average indeed, a slice of processed packet ham on some pineapple, need I say any more. The side salad which accompanied it lacked taste, imagination and substance. The coffee was bland. It's a pity but my visit to The studio was like a journey back in time. It could be so much better.

I love the breakfasts here! Nice, fresh, meat and a cup of tea, great value and friendly staff, best breakfast in the rathfarnham area by far.

I've often come here for coffee, and regularly for Saturday lunch/brunch with the kids. Whilst the atmosphere and decor are pleasant - it's very tight for space - quite cramped. Food is fine, for this kind of fare - although I have found that you do need to keep an eye on the bill (specials can frequently be charged individually).

Had late breakfast here today. Got 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 1 fried egg, 1 hash brown and chips for €7.50...decent value in my opinion in comparison to some other breakfast cafes. It was all pretty fresh as far as i could gather, nice quality food, tasty and not greesy. My friend had a panini which she said was very nice. This plus 2 soft drinks came to €21. As much as you would want to pay for going out for breakfast/brunch. Staff were prompt but it wasnt busy. Will visit again.

I've had breakfast here three times now. I think it's an all day brekkie or until 3pm at least (close at 5pm I think). The staff are nice and the breakfast is consistently good. They do free coffee refills which, in my book, is never ever a bad thing! The only thing I have against the place is this annoying buzzing sound...like from a fridge or insect killer....you'd have to go to know what I mean. That said the food has made me go back regardless!

I met a friend in the Bistro last wednesday morning for coffee. It was busy all the time we were there although not full and there was a buzz from lots of chatter. I find it hard to rate the food as my friend had the smallest scone I have ever seen and I'm a coeliac and had to go out to the car and bring in my own bar as they had nothing I could eat. More and more restaurants/cafes the type of places where you just stop for coffee are carrying "cookies" which are indivually wrapped and have a long shelf life I would have expected them to do do too but the person at the counter said they don't stock anything gluten free as they don't sell enough and they "go off"! Well surely they could risk buying half a dozen wrapped biscuits with a shelf life of 6 months ? too much to ask? Nice place but I won't be rushing back (nor will my friend for her tiny scone).

I'm a big fan of this simple place. Always a seat, staff could do with smiling a bit more though they're very attentive. The fry is just right, caesar salad nice and chicken burrito lovely. They do a nice cappuccino, not the best in Dublin but always consistent. Worth a try

Went there for lunch. The place was empty. Staff looked like they didn't want to be there and although efficient they weren't very friendly. I had a ham panini which was only ok but a nice small salad came with it. There was no atmosphere and the staff were making me feel uncomfortable. Latte was lovely though. Will give it another try some day.

Went here for a bit of brunch with two friends. My friend ordered the mini full Irish, which looked lovely, but arrived about 10 minutes before ours. When we ordered fruit scones with buttons and jam, we asked for them to be toast (this must have been why they took so long to arrive!!!) They were nice but very small. The girls ordered tea, and I ordered a coke but instead got a coffee brought to me. My first impressions of the place were high but I probably wouldn't bother to go back to be honest!

I'd walked past this place so many times thinking it looked really nice and finally wandered in with a friend one day. It was actually completely empty, which was good for service, but you kind of feel like you're watched. I just had a margarita pizza, and it was fairly good quality- not mind blowing or anything, but good value for money! Really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

I have only dropped in here on passing and have never tried their food, but it is a nicely decorated area, with friendly staff and a peaceful feel to it, located in the village makes it ideal for popping into for a coffee or tea. Will try the food there some day.

I've called here before for the odd coffee - dropped in again this week, and decided to stay for a bite of lunch. There ain't much room here - it's a bit cramped but the decor and atmosphere make up for that - very contemporary, quite cool. All day breakfast went down very well - nicely cooked and presented - smoked salmon came with a very good salad garnish and brown bread. Luscious carrot cake was to die for. Full range of coffees etc. Seemed to be doing good business in a slow week - first few days of the New Year.
