Who would believe that when owner Mohammed Abuissa opened his restaurant in May 2008 it would be selected for the One of the Best Restaurants in Ireland 2013 Irish Foods Guide and The Dubliner 100 Best Restaurants 2010 and 2011 ? Since then Rotana Cafe has been serving some of the best authentic Lebanese food in Dublin. Now well known in the city for its delicious falafel and homemade baklava sweets, Rotana Cafe is just the right spot to try something different. Everything served at Rotana Cafe is fresh, exciting and reasonably priced. In this casual and friendly atmosphere you can relax and enjoy some traditional Lebanese music and smoke a flavoured Shisha in our outside terrace. As an added bonus you are also welcome to bring your own wine. Today, Rotana Cafe is becoming increasingly popular for this delicious cuisine. You too can enjoy the taste of Lebanon!

Excellent service. Very tasty food. Better value than other middle Eastern restaurants in Dublin. Will definitely go back again.

Work night out - big group to serve but staff were super. Very attentive and fast. Lovely food with a great variety. Shared a variety of starters which we would recommend so as to try all the good dishes. BYOB is also super - good value night out.

Having visited a number of BYOB and this style of food which we love decided to try the restaurant. It was full to capacity we got a nice table and luckily were not crammed in. The noise levels were quite high making conversation quite difficult. We chose a mezze between four which came with flat bread. Delicious hummus dips, pickled peppers, mains two of us went for the chicken kebab and one of our guests went for cubed chicken all three dishes were identical tepid and a little disappointing, the fourth main was lamb meatballs in a spicy sauce with rice. The attraction of the BYOB is great for large parties but for small dining groups the food has to be just as much the attraction the food was just ok.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food and service is always amazing. We got the Mezze Rotana which is enough for two people and we got a Lebanese dessert which had mozzarella which was unusual but tasty.

Hard not to love Rotana Cafe, with its no corkage, cosy atmosphere and tasty food. Easy to find something nice to eat if you're vegetarian too.

The staff was very friendly and the food was beyond perfect. It is a shame that such a place is often overlooked as it is truly impeccable.

We dined as a group of three. The other two people had been there before and thought it was fine, and the location suited us, so we chose Rotana. The atmosphere is ok, it's not fine dining, but it has quite an authentic middle eastern feel i.e. a workaday cafe style establishment. Service was fine. Not overly attentive, but perfectly adequate. I had the doner kebab and to be honest it was disappointing. The filling was a bit scanty and there was (in my opinion) a slightly odd and less than pleasant aftertaste. As against this my dining companions had different dishes with sides and thought they were fine. To be honest I think 3 stars is a bit generous, but I am swayed by the opinion of my dining companions who thought it was fine, and also by the other reviews here, which are generally positive.

Incredibly tasty food. I lived in the Middle East for 2 years and was looking to find a restaurant that served similar food and Rotana is the best I have found in Dublin. BYoW too so is a great place to start a night out in Dublin!

Nice restaurant with a different type of food. Good value for money and they even have BYOB without paying a corkage fee. You can see the kitchen while you are eating and have a wide selection of dishes

Another restaurant that pulls me back time after time. Lebanese food has quickly become my favourite and indeed that of all the family too. Since we are vegan, there is so much to chose from and we all love variety. Went there with my girls and hubbie on Sunday for our monthly family meal out. The veggi mezza is only 17.50 for two people and we amend it to vegan very easy. A delcious mix of spinach samosas, vegi ones, vine leaves, salad, warmed thin pitta bread, hummous, baba gnoush, felafel and more. This is a feast for the eyes as well as a gastronomic one. They have a BYOB policy too, which makes it very reasonable to pop into LIDL on the way there. The decor and atmostphere is wonderful too. We will be back.

Second time in this restaurant and another good time. Food is very good and the service was great. It was early evening so it wasn't too busy but a nice atmosphere. BYOB really makes a difference and compliments the food. :)
