Our food is based on the seasons around us, sourced from dedicated artisan producers, and inspired by the creativity of our small team. We offer a short a la carte menu alongside a bar food menu with snacks and small dishes that are perfect for sharing. On Sundays we select larger joints of meat or fish for our family-style lunch. Our wine list has some leftfield varieties alongside plenty of more familiar choices, with a range of options to enjoy by
Reservations are welcome and we do our utmost to accommodate walk-ins as best we can. There are a number of great pubs in the area for a pre or post-prandial drink.

I visited Bastible last week with two friends, we all work in the culinary industry so we were excited to say the least for our visit. The restaurant is being talked about a lot in culinary circle so we had really high expectations before we even got in the door and we were not disappointed. We had been recommended to try the Chef's menu as we wanted to taste everything they had on offer. We were given 3-4 'snacks', two starters, a main and a dessert all for €45 (with the option of wine pairing for an extra €32). The food was fantastic, a great merger of Irish and French cuisine celebrating both countries ingredients. We all enjoyed even course, the service was really friendly and attentive (not at all intrusive) and the atmosphere itself very open, friendly and laid back. I have to say its the best meal I've had in Dublin in a very long time and for a very fair price too. I'll definitely be back and I couldn't recommend this restaurant more.

I went here with three friends a couple of weeks ago on a Friday evening after work and we had a wonderful time. We had prepared ourselves before we went that we were expecting to spend a little money that evening in this restaurant for a treat so I think if you go with that mentality then you are in for a real treat. This place is a real gastro experience with a wonderfully creative menu which offers a wide range of flavours within a boutique sized offering. They have a great selection of red wines and a fabulous dessert menu. My only gripe has to do with the recent trend of some bars in Dublin serving their espresso martinis with ice instead of a chilled glass. Overall I would recommend an evening in Bastible if you and your friends are looking for an evening to treat yourselves and your taste buds.
