Le Plancha is a modern Irish restaurant with a style of cuisine using influences from the Iberian Peninsula & France.

At Le Plancha we are all about fresh! Our emphasis is on making everything where possible in house from our freshly baked bread, homemade ice cream and even our crackers for cheese. We work with our suppliers to deliver the freshest fish, best meat and seasonal vegetables which are reflected in our menu. We change our dishes often to keep it interesting for both ourselves & our customers.

We have established ourselves as a leading restaurant in the local area and thrive to work harder to keep and push the high standards we have set for ourselves.

Really lovely visit to La Plancha last night, we availed of the set menu which is good value at €23 for two courses. The food is fresh and delicious! We didn't have desert but there was a lovely tempting selection. The staff were friendly and attentive and the place had a nice relaxed ambiance. We will definitely be back!

Service was a bit slow & one waiter was particularly rude. He literally threw the menus on the table and went to serve another table as I was about to order some water! He won't last long down there. Was a pity as was really looking forward to trying out the new premises.

We arrived expecting to have the early bird menu, but found that it finished at 6.15 on Friday. Turned out to be more an opportunity, rather than a problem We had the prawn and calamari starters and really liked them. We had a range of mains and all were declared to be excellent. We would recommend this place to one and all.

We went down one Weds eve. I was hoping it wasn't going to be too quiet but it wasn't - plenty of people there. Waitress was brilliant. Very informative & polite. Food was delish from start to finish. Chicken wings to start, steak, chocolate fondant & cheese board all had.....YUM! Will be back. Very good value too with the early bird all night during the week.

The only regret we have about dining at Le Plancha is that we waited so long to try it! This little gem tucked away off Newtownpark Avenue is exactly what we want in a neighbourhood restaurant - cozy, personal, great service, great menu, good price range, nice wines, excellent cooking. The menu is an interesting blend of Continental classic and contemporary Irish with something for every taste. Looking forward to going back some blustery winter evening for a comforting cassoulet, and paying a visit on Tapas night!

A really wonderful meal. The best steak I've ever eaten out - bar none. Pepper sauce was sublime and chocolate fondant so good my daughter ordered two. Excellent service. Will definitely return

Happy with the quality of the food, although a bit pricy. Service was rushed, even though there were plenty of empty tables. Great location for a cosy evening.

Fabulous meal, very pleasant staff and great value. Honestly think the food improves every time I eat here. The specials board was superb, scallops, hake, both dishes were wonderful - highly recommend this little gem

At times during the summer La Plancha have a tapas night on Wednesdays and they appear to be very popular. The last time we had tried to book we could not geta table as they were full, so we tried again and it was well worth doing. Their take on tapas is to suggest people two or three plates, each. The portions are on the good side of a 'starter' course. We decided to go for two 'sharing' plates - one seafood and one meat - and accompanied then with a bottle of red wine. All arrived quickly and were delicious and substantial. A great idea. We have eaten previously in La Plancha and will do so again.
