We eat regularly here and always enjoy the superb food. The owners and staff are very attentive. The last thing we discuss before we leave, is when we'll next return.

We were a group of 4 and everything was just perfect, from the food to the atmosphere to the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Definitely a restaurant to recommend and return to.

Wow. It's been a long time since I had shush a positive reaction to a restaurant. They got absolutely everything right. The first thing the you notice is the beautiful decor and atmosphere. The staff are so warm and friendly with out being too intrusive. The food was great and served on time and hot. And they had a fantastic musician playing some lovely easy listing songs on the guitar. I simply loved this place. The only thing that could make it better is. Wider choice if vegetarian dishes. But that's my only gripe with the place. The management should be so proud of what they have done here.

Stunning. Just Stunning. The food, service & atmosphere was wonderful. Experienced staff made the whole evening a wonderful experience. The presentation of the food, the flavor and texture were beyond what was being charged. This was probably the best meal I have had in years. Thank You & See you very soon

Love this restaurant, great food and lovely ambience. I have various food intolerances and they are amazing at meeting my needs and the fish is always so tasty. Went for mums birthday and they made a great fuss if her. Music is always great - subtle and in keeping with the surroundings. First class.

Excellent dining experience, food was fantastic (I had Fish and Chips, my partner had chicken, both excellent). Lovely vibe on a Friday night, not too busy and the live music set a really nice tone. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back

I really can't fault my visit. I thought the decor was excellent, there a lovely warm atmosphere. My girlfriend and I went on a friday and there was a guy with a guitar in the corner of the restaurant. He was very good. It was the perfect level of sound, just in the background. It was very relaxing. I had the prawns to start, steak for mains. Both were delicious. I had blood orange sorbet to finish. Best sorbet i've ever tasted. Staff were very friendly and helpful when asked to explain the menu. I will definitely be back!!!

Had lunch here y'day. We were kind of hidden away from the main part of the restaurant & were a little forgotten about. Took a while to clear the plates, after being walked past a couple of times. Food was delish & very good value for lunch with dessert & coffee. Would be back & hopefully have better service.

Due to the current dearth of good value eating places in Dun Laoghaire, we decided to explore a little further afield and came across the 8A. We were warmly greeted by both a member of staff and a roaring fire which added to the atmosphere. Although we were served at various stages by 3 staff, each one was willing to engage in a chat about the food. The quality of our early bird meal was excellent, but on a personal level, I do wish that restaurants in this country would reduce the size of their servings. The size of our starters was almost equivalent to that of a main course. To offset this we walked back to Sandycove! Bottom line?...great food, service and value for money!

Frist time to first 8A - very friendly staff, cosy (for such a big restaurant) and good food. My only negative would be the tempura fish and chips. Personally tempura woudl mean a light batter on the fish, this was a bit more than that. (only a small grip) Starter game sausage lovely. My wife had the bream it looked great on the plate and I was assured it tasted just as good. Yeah another good restaurant in Monkstown with good value for money (IMO)
