The worst food I have ever attempted to eat. Went home hungry.

Had my staff night out here last Tuesday night and I really enjoyed myself! I would have never thought about the dog track. We had dinner in the resturant upstairs and the very polite lady came and took our bets. We started off betting small but I did put a bet on for 5 euro and won :) Would def reccomend for a night out. I'll be back again with my friends.

Visited here with some work colleagues. Qualilty of the food is very good. Have eaten in Dobbins many times and the food here is just as good. Service lets it down a little, ordered some extra side dishes and they didnt arrive despite reminding staff twice for them. Also, and it is just a small point, it might be a good idea for meals to be served between races, the races are short enough and to have to be distracted from a race because the meals because dishes are being placed on the table is a bit unneccessary.

Went to dobbins last friday with a group of friends, it was a great evening out. Food was nice, especially the salmon starter, really tasty. The service however was only ok. The waitress was really slow to take our order at the start, and had no patience when taking order. One of our group is coeliac and with every course she had to send back her food as the waitress obviously didnt pass on her requests to the kitchen, this became very annoying by desert. A final point that could be improved is the inclusion of caffine free tea/coffee, as during the last course i was left drinking hot water as my intollerance to caffene was not catered for. Regardless of these minor iratitions it was a great night and we hope to repeat it soon!!

Myself and 4 friends went to the dogs last Friday and had a great night. The atmosphere was brilliant and the food was nice as well. I'm not too sure of the price of the food here as we booked through our local pub who had organised the night out so it only cost 30eur for entrance to the dogs and a 4 course meal which was great value. I think it's usually about 50eur though. All our food was lovely however the staff are absolutely dreadful, they are so disorganised. There are certain people who only take drink orders and other people who only take food orders and if you happen to call the wrong person you could be waiting another 10 minutes for them to send over the right person. They also decided not to take people's orders until everyone had arrived at the table which was ridiculous because there was 80 seats booked and you could have ended up with a stranger at your table who might not arrive in until 8.00pm and you ended up having to wait on them. There was also problems with cold tea and coffee, not giving out teaspoons with tea/coffee, wrong orders etc. A great night but spoiled by the bad service
