A few of us went here for lunch. We all had the anti-pasti mixed platters - absolutely delicious. Very reasonable and plenty of food. The service here is always great with very cheerful waitresses. Also, the shop attached to the restaurant is full of delicious Italian treats. Have eaten here a number of times and it never fails to impress. Will defo be back.

The restaurant was busy but the staff were attentive and cheerfully efficient. The food was fine without being spectacular but it was certainly very good value - we'll be back!

I went to Carrlucio's in Glasthule for breakfast and the food was absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality of the ingredients used and it seems really authentic Italian. I had to buy a bottle of their olive oil as I was leaving to see if I could recreate some of the Italian tastes at home! We had a really lovely waitress who was also Italian herself. The only drawback I would say is that the portions are a little on the small side.

Decided to have a staff party in Carluccio's in Glasthule on Friday evening 21/08/15. We had a group of 13 booked in and it could not have been better. Food was superb (steak for two was really good), range of drinks were great and no pushy waiters. For the number in our group and the drink that was consumed, the final bill was very reasonable. Our waiter for the evening was Christian and he was very nice and friendly and looked after the group really well. Before we booked we did review some of the feedback here and in other review sites and were weary of some of the areas - like pushing their craft beer and pushy waiters etc etc. but none of this happened with our group and I am glad we went ahead and booked it in the end. Thanks to all the staff and especially Christian. We will be back.

Decided to stay local this Saturday and booked Carluccio's Glasthule. A most annoying dining experience is the best I can say. Over the top hard sell from the start going through all the most expensive specials and wines. When I ordered our bottle of Sicilian red (which we like), we got "So just the house red then". Shared Salumi was a good but pricy starter. Mains of Pork and Chicken were dry and tough and only came with saute spuds - all veg is extra which they tried to sell even as the mains arrived. When pushed for coffee we said "not just now". Minutes later the bill was presented without us asking (a definite no no in our book). The only they achieved in the hard sell with us was the door out - we won't be back.

Food is good here. A consistent chain standard across all of their restaurants and I'd definitely increase the rating if it wasn't for one money grabbing annoyance that I've come across with the glasthule branch. The menu encourages you to ask your waiter for the craft beer options. They recommended a large Italian beer unique to carluccios that is very good. Done deal. Beer was 24 euro and this only came to light when the bill arrived. It was a large beer but still only a pint and a bit. I didn't complain because honestly I felt nobody would be that underhanded and I put it down to a language barrier. I went back after a month cooling off with this place and the very first thing I'm faced with as I sat down is overhearing a perfectly nice guy paying his bill and pointing out to the waiter that the price of that special beer really should have been disclosed. He was astonished it costs 19 euro (down by 5 since it was pushed on me). Like me his attitude was that it was all about the principal but I also could not blame anyone for simply refusing to pay it. This confirmed what I really didn't want to believe of this place. I put it to the test with my waiter again and sure enough was recommended this Italian large beer and no price disclosure. I went with a peroni. I eat in a lot of carluccios in Dublin and london. If you're going to money grab I recommend you do it in your canary wharf restaurant where frankly you would get away with anything. Choosing a small suburban town to push an overpriced beer is a dangerous game and you won't last with that lack of honesty.

Had breakfast here with my husband and our nephew. It was very expensive for what I would regard as average food. We asked did they do pizzas on their lunch and dinner menu and I was told 'Oh no we're not that type of restaurant.' When I asked for brown sugar for my coffee I was told by a member of staff that they didn't have any as it ruins the flavour of the coffee. I like brown sugar in my coffee and I didn't appreciate being told what I could or could not enjoy. So it's not a matter of pleasing the customer in this restaurant, it's pure snobbery. I won't be back.

We booked but we arrived late - they had kept our window seat and the service was excellent. We both had ravioli - just ok - cases a bit hard and filling bland. Tiramisu dessert was good.

Very disappointed, was really looking forward to trying this restaurant out. The food was mediocre and over priced and too much of the hard sell for my liking. Tables too close together also.

Pleasant decor and charming service. Food will not set the world on fire - pasta rather viscous and tasteless. Main courses, in fairness, are moderately priced, but cannot say the same for the starters.

A very nice restaurant in Glasthule, with a wide choice menu. The blonde and my self were not that hungray and we both choose a salad, one smoked duck and the other Tuna. The food was amazing and the salad dressing was very good. we had a nice window seat and enjoyed a great meal. See you soon again.
