We stumbled across this Gem of a place on bank holiday Monday. From when we arrived the staff were really friendly to us. The service throughout was very good. We both ordered paninis - I got the Chicken, peppers, mozzarella and pesto (it was amazing) the flavor of the chicken was yummy! It came with a nice salad too. We will definitely being popping back here

Fabulous pancakes for breakfast in a very nice cafe. The breakfast menu is wide ranging but the pancakes stood out and we both agreed they were excellent..This is a nice cafe and was quite busy for a Sunday morning. Well worth a visit.

Dinner at the weekend. This lovely cafe is open for dinner at the weekend - we were treated to fantastic service and the food was great. Mussels to start in a nice tomato sauce (lots of them) and sea-bass with selection of veg. A good menu and wine was nice too. Mains (even fish specials) were about €15 -- for really delicious food and big portions. I will go back soon.

My wife (who lunches occasionaly in the Sunshine Cafe) happened to mention that it is open for dinner at the week-end. So off we went on Saturday night to try it out and what an absolute treat it was. Very friendly staff, excellent service, excellent food and excellent value. And a rather excellent musician - a young lady on the keyboard who gave us the Great American Songbook and Burt Bacharach classics ! An absolute gem of a night ! We'll be back !

I was recently here for a breakfast. I come here now and again and i used to like it although the staff were generally pretty unresponsive and lack any customer relation skills. I am involved in the restaurant trade and I know how easy it is to say hello, smile or generally be nice. One waitress 'dropped' my food over, I said thanks… no reply, nothing, just a sour look. I ate my cheap ingredient breakfast and went to pay. The breakfast was €7.95. I payed €8.00. I wanted the 5 cent coin because my son collects coppers. I was about to put a tip in the jar when waitress (different one) just closed the till with my change inside (no matter how small, it still shouldn't happen). I didn't get a thanks or 'see ye'. She was gone before I could say anything! Ridiculous service. It has gained a reputation for bad service and I put up with it before but never again. Goodbye 'Sunshine Café', wasn't nice knowing ye…

Had the breakfast and was delicious and very filling. They do a lovely coffee, especially a cappuccino. The staff are prompt but sometimes they are worked off their feet and can be somewhat slow. Overall, it's a nice place for breakfast, lunch and brunch.

This has to be my favorite place for a brunch or afternoon tea. I have had many things on the special board, all good. My reason for going back time and again is the salmon bagel and salad. It has a lovely warm atmosphere. Perfect for dreary days.

Stopping in here for food before an evening course. Had one of the specials, chicken in creamy mushroom sauce with sauté potatoes was beautiful. Staff were really friendly. Nice quiet but busy atmosphere chilled out here for about an hour and was lovely.

Lovely spot in Dun Laoghaire, my family and I eat here every so often. Food is tasty and fresh, soup is to die for! Great spot for a cuppa and the chairs and tables outside are a nice place to look out over the town on a sunny day. Service is friendly and warm always with a smile. Worth while to take a look at.
