Just as good as when I visited before. The food, service and value were excellent. One of our party was served her main course about 10 minutes after the rest of us, and she wasn't charged because of the delay. That's what I call customer service!

I recently received a voucher for this eatablishment. It had a 2 month window for use, Christmas and holidays blacked out. I missed the expiry date by a few days and asked for the voucher to be honoured as it was paid for. I received two blunt emails saying it would not be honoured. Needless to say i will never eat here. They clearly do not value customers, repeat business, or common decency so I will not be eating here and I would advise anyone reading this to avoid as I'm sure if the attitude of the general manager is reflective of the restaurant then it would not be a pleasurable experience.

Ducked in here out of the rain for the early bird. Absolutely terrific value and very tasty. Well worth a visit. Only negative was that our waiter took my finished plate away while my wife was still eating hers. No need to be that zealous ! Otherwise a very good experience and noted for the next time we are in the area.

We visited the Hen House on a miserable Friday evening and were immediately cheered up by the welcome we received. The staff were delightful and the food was really tasty. The only complaint was that the portions were so large, there was no room for the delicious-looking desserts. The early bird menu was great value and ideal before our visit to the Pavilion Theatre next door.

I ate here with my wife & daughter on May bank holiday Sunday evening. There was a decent crowd but service was fine. Food was great, went for Calamari for starters and then I especially enjoyed the 10oz beef burger which was a challenge to finish but just manged it. My wife had the chicken wings which were tasty & half chicken which was huge & she struggled to finish. The staff were accommodating in heating up our 1 year old daughters food also.

Went here on a voucher and was really looking forward to it as I had heard great things about here, but I was so disappointed. I was shown to the table and was asked had I a voucher I dint even get time to take my coat off or even put my handbag down the waiter stood there til I got it out of my bag. when my friend arrived I was asked by a different waiter if I had the voucher!! I order goats cheese as a starter and the portion was huge which is not good as its rather a heavy dish. I ordered the Burger and when it came it was well presented along with mushroom, tomato and a garlic sauce, I asked for it to come without the bread and it did however it was so greasy. The whole dish was greasy so much that I couldn't eat anything as my stomach was churning, The manager was great when i told her but the bit that caught my attention was she said the reason its served with bread is possibly to soak up the grease!! she did offer me another choice of food which I said I was ok but she kept asking, saying I don't want you to be hungry so I asked for a small plain salad with the dressing on the side when it came it was lovely but again the dressing was heavy. The staff were very pleasant and the glass of wine was lovely but I don't think I'll rush back

Good quality simple food at affordable prices. Excellent service and friendly staff. Been here a few times and only complaint is consistency. Portion sizes vary significantly every time we visit. Other than that great mix of couples, families and groups with a nice relaxed vibe. Calamari starter especially good!! Will visit again.

Had a lovely lunch here on a sunday with my husband and 2 young kids. Lovely restaurant and the food was fab, with burgers for everyone! Staff were great too, but only one negative on the kids menu...we thought the price was a bit too much for a 3 and 5 year old, given other kids menus do some better meal deals

We had a lovely table beside the window and the food was very tasty. I enjoyed my chicken supreme while my husband was delighted with the beef cheeks. The 2 waitresses were extremely pleasant. We will be back.

We had a very nice meal in the henhouse last night. Their half chicken is delicious. I had squid to start which was fine. Their wine is very nice and reasonable. Will be back soon.

Hopped on the bike last Sunday and headed out towards Greystones but as we do live in Ireland it started to hailstone. We were about 4km from Stillorgan so we decided to cycle onto there. We locked up our bikes and headed into The Hen House. We had been here once before and ordered the chicken, bacon & lime mayo on Ciabatta and I was not disappointed. This time I went for the beef burger and it was as good. It came with Onion Rings, Mushrooms, Tomato and lime mayo. The bun was bread not a normal bun. I personally don't eat the bun's myself but that's because I find bread makes me very bloated. I was so full after this meal that I was glad I didn't the bread. The only flaw is that they don't ask you how you want your burger cooked. I would like it medium rare but they generally cook it well done. It is a family restaurant so that's probably why. If the sun is shining you can sit outside on the deck looking at the sea. The restaurant was pretty packed on a Sunday at 2pm but you aren't sitting on top on the people next to you.

Really surprised, this place was great. Went in last week for a late dinner and it was great. Waiting staff friendly and attentive. Simple food done really well. Fish and chips, fish was really fresh, nice mushy peas. Honey and Sesame Chicken wings, really tasty and great flavour on the sauce. Whatever way they were cooked, it was nice to have wings that weren't greesy and overcooked. I'll definitely pop in again.
