The pub area covers three levels which offer a reasonable amount of space, but it may be difficult to find a seat if the pub gets full. The pints on offer are ice cold and excellently served by professional barmen, although they cost a little more than average. Nonetheless, this is a good spot to drop into if you just want to read the paper over a pint or if you're out with friends for the night and just looking for conversation and somewhere to take it easy.

I have gone here for lunch many times. It offers a pretty decent selection for carvery and the portions are very generous. I nearly always enjoy what I get although sometimes a there is overcooked chips or lumpy mashed potatoes. But for the portion size, speed of service and price you cant go far wrong!

Had Sunday lunch here. Food quality was poor, especially the beef which was very tough.

Evening Menu is supposed to be served 3pm - 9pm. Couldn't find a menu at 5pm. Finally got one at 6pm - ordered immediately. Finally got my 8oz Beef Burger and fries at 6.25pm - no other food orders went in during this period. The burger was a deep brown / black colour inside - perhaps cooked from frozen - strange colour... Bacon was like the bacon you get abroad not tasty at all. Chips were just that pub chips - not home-made. Salad was shredded carrot, mixed lettuce leaves (from a bag I'd imagine) with garlic mayo. Nothing world beating - filled the gap - just. Won't be in a hurry back. Cost around 12.95.
