Have to say, was extremely disappointed from the moment we walked in the door. We had no reservation but it was 5.50pm on a Thursday so didn't think it would be a problem. Upon arrival there was only 2 tables with customers and we were asked if we had a reservation...it seemd like she was doing us a favour by allowing us have a table. After sitting down a waiter came over to tell us the specials which he just read off the wall behind me and basically gave out to me for turning and looking to read myself. I had to remind them to take my order for a drink . The food was below adverage with a unreasonably high price. The small jug of water cost €2.50???? Through the whole meal the waitress may aswel have been sitting on our lap or joining our conversation as she stationed herself right beside us. I understand that the till was beside us but there was no need for it. Overall I had a really bad experience after been very excited to try the place.

Went here for a late lunch at about 3.30 and was a bit disappointed to be given quite a limited menu - I was hoping for the full a la carte but this didn't seem to be an option - I think the menu changes after 4pm. Having said that the food was absolutely delicious and very good value for money. The service was good and the restaurant itself was spotless. I would definitely go again - although I would go for dinner next time so the menu wouldn't be so limited.

I had not been to Steps of Rome for some time and we went there for a gathering with friends. I had the vegetarian pizza which was nice. The waitress was a bit snappy.

The restaurant is much smaller than I expected so felt a bit cramped. Food was fine. Dessert menu very limited and didn't have our first choice in wine. Service very good and friendly.

I had not been to Steps of Rome for some time but my memory was good food reasonable price great Italian buzz. Very disappointed last night --- food very average -- in fact my friends Cannalloni was very dry and bland and 14.90 for a pasta with no meat content to me is overpriced! I will not be going back in a hurry

Delicious pizza. Staff were slightly reluctant to give us a table away from the door and were not overly friendly. Service was good otherwise. One of the best places for pizza in Dublin.

Went here for dinner on a (quiet) Bank Holiday Monday. It's been a while but now that the memory has been jogged we will be back soon. Had the specials starter for two where you can pick any three from the display (whatever the Italian equivalent to Tapas). Great that you can order the house wine by the half litre carafe too. The mains of Penne Primavera and Involitini Pollo were delicious and all that very reasonably priced. Great homely attentive and friendly service. This is the real Italian deal.

great place to grab a quick bite and an espresso. they always have a few slices of their rectangular pizza ready to eat there and on the spot. as per usual i wasn't in a hurry and realised 20 minutes later that i was munching a second slice (and enjoying the people watching!). a charming little slice of italia albeit just off the stephen's green end of grafton street. perfect
