Just had a quick lunch here yesterday. Food was good, well presented and tasty. Both of us had salads. Service was excellent. Felt it was a bit expensive for what we got. Spotless restaurant and that continued to the toilets. Unfortunately it was quiet with only one other table in use which didn't add to the atmosphere.

OMG if you like seafood then this is the place to go. We had the most fantastic lunch there for my sister's birthday. Really unexpected but fantastic. Liz

First time here. Fabulous steaks and pepper sauce. Very attentive staff. More of a pub atmosphere than a restaurant as we were downstairs. Definitely will be back.

Unfortunately, whilst looking great the fillet steak was tasteless. An awful shame as rest of meal very good. Full marks to the staff. They were excellent.

Great food and reasonably priced. Staff very attentive, enthusiastic and happy always willing to get you extra sauce or whatever you need. The Manager is very welcoming and keeps an eye on how everyone is getting on. Been several times and the quality is always consistent. Guinness is good too! Might be nice to add some craft beers to the mix.

Nice welcome. Wasn't busy so we could choose our table. Great to see the aquarium with the lobsters at the entrance. The choice for fish and meet dishes was well balanced, so for everybody is something there. We had as starter the mussels in white wine sauce and crab claws with shrimps. Really nice. Portions weren't too big, just enough. Then the main,I had lamb rack with asparagus and my boyfriend a steak. Perfectly cooked. Cooked like ordered medium lamb and a well-done steak. We ordered one dessert and the waiter asked if we want a second spoon. Of course we wanted :) Good service, good food, portion size is perfect and good value. We are coming back here.

Was with a large group of friends. The service was perfect.. attentive but unobtrusive . All the food dishes were excellent. My Liver Parfait was succulent and the main of Battered fish and chips was perfectly cooked.... and we were able to linger long into the evening catching up with my friends. We are going back again in December

A hidden treasure in Blackrock! Lovely little beer garden too. Wide choice of food and drinks, 10 out of 10 to the staff. Definately recommend it!

We found ourselves in Blackrock at lunchtime on a Friday and decided to try Ouzo. We were greeted by a warm friendly waiter and his initial tone echoed pleasantly throughout our lunch. Which goes to show that the Irish can make great waiting staff, provided they take their jobs seriously and with enthusiasm. Onto the food - we shared some salt and pepper Calamari to start and it was hard to fault. For mains we had a fish and chips and a lobster and crab claws salad. Fresh food well presented - full marks. The only negative I had was when I asked if French Fried Onions were available (de rigeur with fish and chips IMHO) the waiter said he'd bring crisp fried onions which, unfortunately, bore no resemblance to french fried onions. Still, the sun was shining outside and I wasn't letting this hiccup spoil an otherwise lovely lunch. We'll certainly be back when next in Blackrock and well done to the waiter who served us.

I came here on a Wednesday evening without a booking. We immediately got a lovey table. We had a choice of 2 early bird menus and the a la carte. From the superior early bird I had the potted crab and seafood linguini for mains. This was complemented by a caraf of resaonably prices sauvingon blanc. It was busy enough for mid week, you can tell that it has a real local athmosphere with returning customers. Being a local myself I will definitately be back for the gorgeous and reasonably priced food and wine.

Very disappointed with my trip to Ouzos this time. My boyfriend and I used to be regulars here and always had a lovely pleasant meal but it's been a good while since our last visit. The one thing that we both agreed on was that the service let it down, while there were plenty of staff our empty glasses/bottles weren't cleared away despite plenty of staff passing the table. We also had to go find our own coats which I was surprised by. The senior staff are very good and very welcoming but that just wasn't enough. Food was very good, although the boyfriend thought his steak was a little overdone when he had asked for it medium/rare. While we did enjoy our meal there are definitely some areas to improve on.

Another excellent visit to Ouzo's. Such charming staff - so welcoming, friendly and efficient. Try the grilled lamb cutlets - absolutely delicious! I like the atmosphere there, it is calm and warm during the day, and being alone is never a problem. The welcome is the same. €17.95 for two courses for unfailingly excellent food has to be the best value in town!

Can't quite put my finger on it but something about the Ouzo experience was sub par. Everything was fine, no complaints as such but it wasn't particularly memorable. The crab claws were swimming in a heavy buttery sauce which added nothing. The steak was fine. There just wasn't anything particularly impressive about the place. The real problem is that there are several better options available in the local area... so I'm probably just spoiled!
