I had Pan Fried Hake (c)served on a black pudding & chorizo potato cake, red pepper coulis, fresh broccoli. Well the potato cake was as hard as a rock. The food has gone down hill. They have lost there way in fresh tasty food.

Had another great meal with the family. Food is so good with excellent pate starter and superb fish and chips. Only issue is one waiter continues to be a grumpy sod, really loves his job!! Anyway the rest of the staff are excellent. Will continue to be my go to pub grub place now that the pub in monkstown is renovated into a full steakhouse

Service and food incredible. Fish and chips and the seafood pasta option my favourites. Staff knowledge on wine impressive. But if I was to give you the most delicious experience on the menu it is their Sticky Toffee Pudding, it is a 5 star experience dessert. The merrion inn a most visit.

Lovely service, fantastic food and great atmosphere. A great place for a group gathering, and value beyond doubt. The stake is just the best I have had - 100% all the way.

Went for dinner and drinks last night. Great atmosphere, great staff. Had the surf'n'turf with glass or two of Malbec which was recommended by the waitress...wow!! Husband had the pork belly with a craft beer cider again recommended by the waitress. They really know their food & drinks here...will be back for more! The chicken wings going to the next table look like they need to be tried :-)

Second time here since re-opening & the food both times was Excellent. Best burger in the neighbourhood, the chicken wings were great as a main course with the delicious chunky chips. Couldn't fault the place - Good food in comfortable surroundings, definitely worth a trip!

This place is great since the refurb and the food is good. The restaurant section can be noisy and in fact I prefer the atmosphere of the bar area where you can eat in more comfort. The service can be too attentive. For example on this occasion as soon as we arrived and before I could take my jacket off, the waitress was rattling off the specials for the night. Plus they constantly ask you if you are ok. But don't let that put you off, this is one of the better gastro pubs in D4. Although they will need to change the menu soon in order to keep the regular locals.

The Merrion Inn has a lovely restaurant section, and we got seats in one of the booths so it was very comfortable and pleasant. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to help! The food is really tasty- I had the seafood chowder and chicken wings, both of which were excellent! I would definitely recommend it!

Visited for the first time after looking at their website which is very informative and was particularly impressed by the variety of beers and wines listed there so headed off in the afternoon. Spent a relaxing few hours there reading the papers - its a bright, clean pub, nicely painted, toilets good too which is a problem often in Dublin pubs. Easy-listening music in the background, not too loud. Lovely attentive staff and lovely, fresh tasty food. Had the bruschetta, lovely & a generous portion accompanied by tasty salad. Followed by chicken breast with lemon & thyme - moist and tender. Will be back.

Have been here twice in the last week and have to say I am really impressed. Food have been excellent - had chicken wings which were the biggest portion for a starter I've had anywhere, wasn't able to finish them and that's all I had! Bar and waiting staff very friendly - a little slow at times. Food is very reasonbly priced. And offers GF options, so happy days for those coeliacs out there :)

Nice pub to grab a bite to eat and watch sport at the weekend. The atmosphere is nice enough, if a bit quiet (but there's not a crowd of children running amok!). Service at the bar is quite slow, but the table service is slightly better. The food is tasty - really good chunky chips!!!

I hadn't been in years and was very pleasantly surprised by the clean modern interior. Nice artwork and comfortable surroundings. The menu had a good selection of standard fare and daily specials. Coeliac options were clearly marked and the staff were somewhat knowledgeable about food allergies. I had soup to start (basic potato/veg soup) and a lovely chilly and ginger sea bass on rice served with veg. Delicious, and gluten free soy sauce clearly used. I was well impressed. Desert was a gluten free chocolate brownie and ice cream. It was lovely! The waitress brought my friend the wrong main course, but she ate it as it would have been too long a wait to get the right one but they took 10 euro off the bull which was good of them. Overall 70 (minus 10 cos of the mistake so 60) was very good value for a 3 course meal with 6 glasses of wine!
