Group booking for 14 of us as a treat after a hard years work. We were given mandatory three course Xmas menus with limited choice. When we questioned thus, quoting from the cheaoer and more extensive two course menu advertised online, the staff member simply said not available. We said we'd rather order individual courses instead and that seemed agreed - then they tried to charge us for three courses anyway!nnThe food itself was serviceable, average. The staff were variable - some friendly, some not so much. The table arrangement was awkward due to our number and the cramped floor we were on. Overall a poor experience.

I've been to Kites many many times over the years and have always loved it, the food has never disappointed. But during our visit last weekend the food was the best it's ever been! Every single dish was unreal. I had the salt and chili monkfish for the first time which was outstanding. The service was fantastic, we loved the whole experience. It's not hard to see how this restaurant is packed out on a sunday evening!

This has been our favourite restaurant in Dublin for more than 30 years. The food is fantastic, as is the service. It's not cheap, but you can't put a price on perfection.

Even if it's more expensive than other places it's worth it. Really nice food and good options on the Lunch Menu. The service is great and nice.

Had lunch here with work colleagues, all was good except I'd say we were there 1 hour before our mains arrived, far too long, we were in lunch break. No time for the included coffee at the end, no apology, enjoyed the food.

The staff were very efficient and helpful. It was busy as it was 1pm but everything was served quickly. The food was tasty and fresh. There was only one vegetarian option, but I asked for tofu to be added to the veg chow mein and they were happy to oblige which was excellent. All in all a decent meal and I would go here again. The price on the A La Carte menu was a bit on the higher end though so I'm not sure if I would go in the evening.

This old family favourite was revisited years later. It makes you realise the difference between chinese takeout and real Chinese food. The sauces were lovely, the ingredients fresh. It's not cheap by any means but it is quality

Went here on a Friday evening before a Rugby match. We were seated downstairs and have to say it was a little unpleasant and depressing place even with most of the tables full. Staff were professional and friendly. We shared the spring rolls which were probably the worst I've had in a Chinese restaurant, like they had been cooked twice and too long making the pastry too hard and at €7 way to expensive. For mains I had the Chicken in Chilli and garlic sauce (€19) which was grand, nothing special. My friend had the fillet of beef with scallions (€22) which she loved. Adding €7.60 to the bill for fried rice I felt was far too much on top of the high prices charged for the mains. Along with a €25 euro bottle of wine which really should not be more than €18 because it was plonk made an unjust expense for the experience. I won't be going back at these prices.

Went here with 9 work collegues for the new lunch special, and I have to say, we all loved the food. Excellent value, and really high quality food. Very tasty! Going back again tomorrow. It may become the new Friday lunch spot!
