Good food, good prices. The service gets a bit slow but everyone's nice and friendly.

Tolteca is a small Mexican food chain restaurant that opened in 2011 The ingredients is completely fresh with your food being prepared in front of you and they buy their meat is sourced completely locally and are under the guidance of the Bord Bia quality assurance scheme. They sell salads, fajitas and tacos and burritos. This is defiantly somewhere to go if you would like to try something new, because there is not many burrito bars in Dublin. From my own experience this restaurant has a very welcoming staff and affordable for everyone who likes to adventure with food or just try something new. If I where to rate this restaurant it would be 4 out of 5, for the reasons above, but unfortunately it is not quite my cup of tea which I think is only up to you personal taste, although I can say it is something I do enjoy to have every once and a while. I had the same problem I always do when I go to Tolteca for lunch: loads of Trinity students crowding the tables and not moving along even when they've finished. It's a big space that could be better organized to accommodate more patrons. The large tables are probably meant for many people to share, but ask to have a corner of a table and the response is usually a hard look. The food was good and reasonably priced which is why I go back.

I eat here, and take out, A LOT. I also live directly across from a different burrito bar, and will walk the 10 mins to get these. In my opinion these are the BEST burritos in Dublin. There is no menu, so you make it your own way each time. Occasionally they can put too much in your burrito, which is a very very good complaint. It is also very affordable, even coming up to the few days before payday. I recommend you get 50/50 pulled pork and pulled beef. The best combo!

I visited the restaurant on Suffolk Street, which was very busy when we arrived, i think it was happy hour. We ordered quickly from the counter by some very rude staff. Impatient, mumbling and carrying on their own conversations as they served us. We managed to find a clean table among the packed restaurant filled with dirty tables. I had the pork burrito with the fire roasted corn salsa. It was the most bland and dry burrito i have ever had. Very disappointing. I visited the bathroom while here, it was very unsanitary and absolutely stank of urine. I definitely wont ever be returning here.

I enjoyed my lunch which I ended up having to take to go. This was not what I wanted to do. I wanted to have a seat and enjoy my lunch. Which was quite nice. Unfortunately the place was a mess and the tables were filled with people that had long finished their meals and decided to hang out. This is not the first time I've walked into Tolteca and found the same situation. I understand the management would like to entice students to dine, but allowing them to use it as a hang-out is off putting. There wasn't a place to sit to be found today, but lots of dirty tables filled with wrappers and people that were enjoying having a chat.

I had been wanting to try this place for awhile, and being a fan of "real" mexican food, I was wary. I have to say I was delighted. I had soft tacos with chicken and beef, and they really stuffed them with the meat, salsa, lettuce, sour cream and cheese. My companion's Burritos were equally good. I would definitely come back here, and it's a great stop for a quick but filling lunch!

It is a great place for a quick and tasty lunch. I have tried the carnitas and the bbq fajitas and both were lovely and very very big! The deal for lunch is great as it includes a drink for the same price as a burrito or fajita and you get really stuffed. I will definately come back as soon as I can.

Great place for a quick lunch. The food was fresh and tasty and not bad value at €7.90 for Tacos (3) and a bottle of water. I'm not fond of the communal seating but that's one way to make sure people are in and out quickly.

Very nice spot, got the pork burrito which was really good. Decent range of fillings too which were all fresh and good quality. Some of the menu is a little pricey so got the meal deal (Burrito and a bottle of water for €7.90). Their Burrito's are big enough that you don't eat for the rest of the day so its great value!!
