If the salty stodgy food doesn't give you a heart attack then the bill sure will!

Go for lunch here on a regular basis - great hearty food, quick and good portions. A bit on the more expensive side but very tasty.

Were looking for a quick meal fairly late in the evening on Thursday (8pm) and the only place open seemed to be this one. It's a typical pub menu with mostly fried food and the only thing either of us were interested in were the steak sandwiches. The chips were freshly made wedges and I enjoyed them. I normally hate coleslaw but they did it really nice and I ended up eating every bite on my steak sandwich. They also had hot mustard (even if it was in a package) unlike many restaurants. The bun for the sandwich was a nice one, not too doughy and not too hard. There were sauteed onions on top of the steak and they were nice. The one negative thing about the food I'd say was that the steak didn't have much flavour. However, the biggest issue I had was that it was quite expensive at 13.50 for a steak sandwich in a pub. The pub atmosphere was a pretty good buzz and they had some really nice tables to sit on. While the service was a tiny touch grumpy it was quick and efficient which was appreciated.

Great value on Baggot Street. Simple food served with fresh salads by friendly waiters. I take clients there regularly for informal lunches. Cheap & Cheerful. Go for the Steak Sandwich!
