The food here is great, fish always tastes very fresh and so do the veggies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I go to the Coolquay Lodge for dinner a few times a month!

Was taken here last week for lunch with a friend. I have eaten here on several occassions and always found the food okay. It was busy enough for a lunchtime trade during these recessionary times. If you are passing by it is worth a visit.

Called in here on the way back from a hospital appointment with my Dad last thursday, had not been in it in years but my Dads likes it,we ordered our food and two drinks as I ordered off a lunch menu I expected to pay Lunch Prices, Our food was literally out before we had two sips of our drink,I was very sceptical and a bit wary as it was prawns and Dad had chicken as to how it was done so quickly, but it was very nice and they were cooked to perfection,As Dad wasn't driving he had another drink and had dessert, which he enjoyed,it has a nice country atmosphere to it but was very quiet for a lunch time, bill came to €36.40 which was ok but I thought for what I got which was 6 prawns and salad it was quite steep @ €9.95! Would not stop me going back again though!

I went to Coolquay Lodge for the first time last night and was really impressed with the service. I have an irregular diet at the moment and the staff went out of their way to help out and ended up creating something superb!

We eat here fairly often for family birthdays etc. Never been disappointed. Food is always tasty, nice fresh veggies (mashed creamed swede to die for last time I was there) and always good-sized portions. Bit squashed if you're in a large party - we had 22 last time and there was no elbowroom, which made it a bit uncomfortable, but no complaints apart from that.

I must say that this is one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. If you want value for money this is the place to eat. The menu is extensive and never fails to cater all my guests taste buds. The staff are friendly and efficient and make your dinner even more enjoyable. Whether its just bar food or the main dining room, this place is worth a visit!!

Unless you’re a local it is not worth the trip for this restaurant stuck in 1980.

I had a Sunday afternoon meal in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and professional. The meal was very good value and the quality of food was amazing. The range on the menu was quite extensive and catered to all tastes. It was a family restaurant without the kids running around because they were too busy enjoying the food. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would advise making a booking, as it can be very busy.
