We ate here on the 16th Dec and had great food at a great price. Lovely atmosphere and even though very busy, there was plenty of staff looking after the customers.

Had the tomahawk steak and it was simply fantastic. Great atmosphere with a match on TV. Place was very busy but we were seated with 10 minutes. Staff were very nice and we were not waiting long at all considering how busy they were. Will certainly return.

I eaten here so many times and each time has been great. The food is plentiful, delicious and well priced. There is always such a lovely warm atmosphere expected from a traditional Irish bar.

The Menupages booking system is not working and the restaurant had not received our booking. They rearranged some tables though and managed to fit us in & were so nice about it. The food is fantastic, the service great and the restaurant cosy. Loving this place and will definitely be back again.

My partner and I had dinner here recently, the place was fairly crowded but we had no problem getting a seat. There was a good atmosphere and the service was very good. We both had the steak which was cooked exactly to our liking and was delicious. We will both defo go back again.

Have eaten there 3 times in the last 2 months. We had dinner in the Restaurant late May - the quality of the food and presentation was excellent - out of the 6 of us 4 had steaks and raved about them - my chicken dish was excellent and the desserts were fantastic especially the Toblerone Cheesecake. I also had dinner and lunch in the bar recently. It was packed and we had to wait for a bit but the food was plentiful - great Luxury Nachos, fish and Beef and Guinness Pie - we were all pleased with our dishes. Bar food cheaper than restaurant and various specials during the week.

2 of us went here for lunch. We did not have a booking so had to wait for a bit. I would advise to make a booking before you go there. We had chowder and fish of the day. Chowder was the best in Dublin absolutely delicious.

I went here on Saturday with my partner, we often visit here and are never disappointed! Food was great, I had the prawn and chorizo starter which was beautiful followed by a fillet steak which was also superb! Toblerone cheesecake is also very tasty! Great service and great food!

Had a wonderful meal at The old Schoolhouse last night. The upstairs is a wonderful oasis of calm away from the busy bustling and fun bar downstairs with its many cosy nooks and crannies and great atmosphere. We were in time for the early bird menu which had a great selection and with the added bottle of house wine has got to be the best value in Dublin. The portions were huge, the chicken and black pudding starter was delicious, full of flavour, my hake was beautifully cooked and I loved the butter bean accompaniment as for the paris brest desert, huge and delicious, could not quite finish but did my best. I will be back very soon, just sorry i missed out on last weeks voucher deal, I will be watching for the next one. Oh and a quick mention for the service which was excellent, very friendly, professional and attentive throughout...

I have dined here 3 times and every time it has been really good value, and lovely home made food. The service is very genuine and personable. The early bird is exceptional. There is such great choice and options for a relatively cheap price. You can tell the chefs think quite hard about how they compose the menu, and everything is made from scratch. Overall very impressed, I just wish this place was closer to my home town!

Was here on a Sunday evening for dinner. The place was busy, always a good sign! We all opted for the 2 courses for 19.50. I got the pan fried brie for starter and roast chicken for main. Both were delicious and great value! Highly recommended!
