I cant believe the change in this pub. The food is awful now and used to be great. I wont be going back after the meal I had there today with my son. Not good.

We used to eat here regularly so we decided to go to the Cock Tavern - our old favourite. Unfortunately, the management and chef seems to have changed and the food we got was terrible. The chicken in my wrap was so overcooked it crumbled. It was absolutely vile and I explained this to the waitress. She offered another dish or a dessert in its place but I had already filled up on the chips it came with so I declined. However, when we got the bill, the wrap was still on there. I told her that I wouldn't be happy to pay for this in full, maybe half but she took it off the bill. The Cock Tavern has gone seriously downhill which is such a shame as it used to be great. They don't seem to get the crowds anymore either and I'm not surprised. I might come for a drink here again but I certainly won't be eating.

We come here on a regular basis being locals. The Cock Tavern serves some of the tastiest food in Swords and has the friendliest waiting staff. I almost always opt for the Santa Fe wrap - delicious and such good value. Wednesday night is Burger Night where all burgers are €10 (with a couple of exceptions) so I decided to try the Southwest and opted for a chicken burger instead of the standard beef. The waitress recommended the Hawaii Five O with chicken to my husband and I have to say both burgers were outstanding! We've also eaten steaks, fajitas, pasta dishes and desserts here over the past couple of years and all have been excellent for the most part. I love the chips here but my husband prefers the home-made variety. Guess it's a matter of taste! As others have said, it's not the cheapest in Swords but the quality of food, atmosphere and clientele reflects this and we're happy to pay a little bit extra for that.

Recommended: There are cheaper lunches in Swords but the food is tasty. The big difference here is the service and the chat from the staff gives it a unique atmosphere. I'll be back again and again - so will the others in the group of four.

Me and my family keep coming back, we can't seem to get out of the place. We all each get their beautiful steaks and wedges, best steaks i've had since the steakhouses in Las Vegas. Nice friendly staff and great buzz around the place. Always a great visit!!

I love the hot santa-fe wrap here, it was, as usual really tasty. I ordered it with side salad, but the salad was straight from the fridge, ice ice baby! (pass the sensodine) My partner had the pasta and she loved it, we ordered delicious coffee's and desserts, unfortunately my apple crumble was stodgey and gooey and not in the least crumbly and my pal was disappointed that she wasnt offererd her dessert a la mode. I will be back. Service was really good, I've never had a problem there.

We haven't been in a while so decided to go to the Cock for a nice steak.....the problem with this is it changes every time....yesterday our steak was served covered in dried herbs (rosemary) and it wasn't very nice. A good steak does not need dried herbs! Each time you go the steak is served differently - sometimes on a hot plate sometimes not sometimes with salad sometimes not - it needs to be more consistent so that you know what you are going to get.....and it's not exactly cheap either!

Good proper food. Really good value. Went with friends recently and have been on a few occassions. Some of the staff are probably not the friendliest but not a big deal when they have the best bacon cheese fries I have ever had. fresh food . good price. No complaints

20 of us went here for dinner after an adventure day out with colleagues. we had to wait a while for them to organise the table but nobody minded as we all ordered drinks. we were seated upstairs, the food was vey good which was not what i expected and enormous portions. all the lads had steaks which looked huge and around our table we had burgers, club sandwich, chicken wraps and there was no complaints. the food was exactly what you want from pub food and a huge menu to choose from.definately would return.

Came here last night for dinner before the cinema. Food was very nice. We both had huge burgers which were both very tasty. Slightly more expensive than I had expected but not too unreasonable. I did however ask for a sauce that was on their menu only to be told that they don't do it. If thats the case then they should take it off the menu.

Myself and several work colleagues visit here regularly for lunch. The food is amazing, slightly expensive but worth every cent!!! The chicken wings and chips are to die for!! Also the Santa fe wrap! Slightly annoying that they charge €2.50 for a can of coke though!!

I've gone here twice now with work colleagues, once for lunch, and the latest time for dinner. The appetisers platter with chicken wings was particularly nice due to the lovely sauce on the chicken wings. It's usually busy enough and has a nice buzz. The prices are decent for the large amount of food you get, which is mostly standard enough, but nice.
