Been to Hogs and Heifers three times since Jan 15. Would go more often if it was closer to where we live. All three times the food has been fantastic along with the atmosphere (always at the weekend) and the friendly service. As a veggie it is a welcome treat to be able to go to a restaurant and not have to have a boring veggie burger - (the corn and avocado burger is to die for!) This Friday we had the 2 for 10euro cocktails before 10 - mixed perfectly and great value! Hogs and Heifers is a treat for any American food fan with good quality food and a rocking atmosphere worth the trip up the M50 :)

Nice concept however slow service and burnt food lets this place down. Our waiter was lovely however he was the only one on at lunch time as a result he undercharged our bill which we only noticed later when we had left. Lunch service needs to be fast as you only get an hour for the lunch time trade so slow service would put me off....Get more staff at lunch time and speed things up.

I have been here a few times and have never really been taken on it but it is in a handy location for a work lunch. this time however I ordered the cajun chicken wrap and it was very nice! Good value compared to TGI's next door! Also the decor is fab!

We went on a Tuesday night for a birthday celebration. The restaurant décor is great and large table is great for four people. It was very quiet, only about 15 people in the place so our service was very quick. The food was fantastic. If you like spicy food the wings for starters were fab. The portion size was just right. Two of our party had the steak and were very happy with it and my daughter had the burger and loved it. They had a basket of fries with their food and they were so tasty. The cocktails are pricy but very nice. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful. All in all it was a great night out and we would definitely eat there again. Good value for money.

Dined here a while ago and it was pretty busy, food was ok but I thought quite expensive. Service was very slow, even having to get my own drink at the bar, I was left standing there for abt 6minutes before they attended to me (2of them chatting to each other) I would go back with a big group as a celebration but not as a dinner treat.

Had a great time here last week. I found the place to have a great decor and a very good atmosphere, as there was no band playing. I do not think I would have enjoyed eating while a band played! I found the service to be second to none and the menu have plenty of options. I see some people are critical of the menu. It definitely follows a theme but there are plenty of options. To start we shared some chicken wings which had a great flavoured sauce on them, but weren't so great on the meat content. For the mains, I ordered the pulled pork and herself had the ribs. The pulled pork was delicious and the portion was huge. I had to leave the brioch bun in the end, in order to finish the meat, and herself could not finish her ribs, which were cooked excellently as the meat was nearly dripping off the bone. We had the little one with us too, and I felt the restaurant to be very accommodating to children (again, without a band playing) with a kids menu with plenty of choice. At the end, I found the bill to be very reasonable but if I had to give some constructive criticism, I would suggest that the portion sizes be reduced, and the price to match as we couldn't have fit a dessert, and agreed that when we return, we will skip the starter

We went on Saturday night with the intention of getting the house specialty nachos. We were very disappointed to be told they were out of nachos. The menu is quite limited, so we ended up going for the tower burgers. They were very nice, but they are so big that you have to dissect them before you can get your mouth around them. Even a series of hammer fist smashes didn't do the job. We also ordered mojitos, which were by far the worst we have ever had, and we drink a lot of them and I make them myself. There was so much sugar syrup used that that was all you could taste. It totally over powered what ever small amount of mint and lime had been used. Even though the food was nice, I have given a low score as they didn't have our choice of main and the cocktails were so bad. On top of this, the band took and eternity to set up and do their sound checks, which was annoying as the music kept stopping and starting.

I was very disappointed at the small portions of food. The menu is very limited & expensive , The chicken wings were flavourless. The service was very slow ,I nada the new york strip as did my wife ,it came with just a few chips that looked like they were frozen and it was so small we still left hungry, for the price you pay here it is not worth it

Needs a lot of work. The kitchen was backed up and the waitress did apologize twice but it took her 15 minutes to take our drink order we were there almost 2 hours for 1 starter and 3 main courses. 2 different drink orders were brought to our table and 3 different food orders. We ordered the wings which were good,The pulled pork bap got the thumbs up. The spit roast was OK and the Nachos were OK but could have been of better quality. I'll give this place a miss in the future.

Went in a group of 6 . We shared starters of wings, ribs and soup which where all nice. For mains I decided to get the meat plank for 2 between myself and one of the girls and it was great, wasn't too keen on the pulled pork but the chicken , steak & ribs where perfect and we washed it down with a heifer beer. Now most girls would be full at this stage but we rarely get out so we all had to try the desserts , the mud-pie and butterscotch sundae where amazing . All in all our meal was fab the service was great too and we had a really enjoyable experience . Would recommend to friends no bother .

I was very underwhelmed & disappointed at my experience at this restaurant. The menu is very limited & seems overly expensive - I definitely did not see the quality you would expect for that price. The chicken wings were appalling, tiny, greasy & flavourless. The service was probably the worst part of our experience.. they seem extremely disorganised, disinterested & they did not know their menu at all which is pretty basic. we had to send our drinks order back twice before we even started with the food as they were wrong - but of coarse no apologies offered. The theme is certainly well presented décor wise however, the bar (aiming for the Cayote Ugly look) has dozens of bras suspended from the roof above. Given the area which is in the day time purely a retail park filled with families out shopping - it seemed distasteful given the clientele appeared to be solely families during our visit. I have never given a poor review of a restaurant before but it really left me quite upset how poor our servers attitude was.

Went here for the first time for lunch and had a very nice afternoon. The lunch menu was small but what we ordered was nice and tasty. They had a great offer on for soup and a main course for €10 which is very good value. The kids meals were in and around €6 each but didn't include a drink so that's something that could definitely be improved on. However, there was a very nice choice on the kids menu and not just the usual boring nuggets, sausages etc. Our kids ate every bit of what they ordered and really enjoyed it. I ordered diluted juice and it was €1.50 which bumped the kids meal up to €7.50. The service was excellent - very friendly and very efficient. We had a look at the dinner menu which looked great so we will definitely go back for that!

I loved the vegetarian burger and the other 12 carnivores all said the ribs/wings/roast chicken etc were delicious! Looking forward to going back for an evening meal and to see the live music
