Enjoy a visit to Oscars every now & then. I usually have the goats cheese salad as it's really fresh & tasty but this time was a bit dissapointed. They have halved the size of the portion of goats cheese & loaded in extra salad! Cop on Oscars! Don't let ur standards slip. People notice portion sizes. Won't be in a hurry back. Such a pity but there is lots of other places to eat in the area.

I have visited Oscars on several occasions and in the beginning I thought the food was very tasty, good value with lovely staff. Unfortunately I have to say that I think the food has disimproved drastically and the staff are run off their feet and don't have time to provide the service.

More than the fact that it is my local, I like Oscars for its ability to be many things at different times of day in a slightly funky and eclectic setting. This review focuses on brunch on Valentine's morning. Both my companion and I ordered the veggie breakfast which to my surprise was very filling and tasty. The sausage was enormous! Great whole mushroom too. We certainly didn't need the shared bowl of fruit to go with it. I think the overall quality of brunch has improved over the past while. The coffees were also excellent. Promptly delivered for the first cup, if not a little delayed on the second. Staff were otherwise attentive, efficient and pleasant. The decor has a mix of chairs, high stools and tables, and big armchairs. The big armchairs are great for the evening pint more than eating, so if going in for brunch, put a little thought into your table! Overall, another excellent visit to Oscars.

Food was awful, staff were nice. Chicken curry was like a tesco brand recipe, chicken wings were covered in a horrible tomato paste and chips were dry.

Beautiful setting but the team was not very friendly at all apart from one waitress- food was just ok but the sighing waitress didn't help every time we asked for something- such a shame as prices are good and nice place.
