The restaurant was reasonably quiet for a Friday night. We had made a reservation through menupages and had a nice table reserved for us with the top of the table sitting on a sofa. Service was friendly and prompt. Drinks order was taken immediately and arrived promptly. Mixed starter to share was a good mix - ribs, rolls, wonton, chicken - and was very tasty. Wet tissues were distributed and left open before the starter arrived. Mains were really good - nasi goreng, singapore noodles, roast duck, tofu in black bean, and beef rendant. Quantities were sizeable and we had to take some home that we couldn't finish. Good food, good service, good staff, good spot.

It almost cost 40€ for starter and main course no prawn crackers even though we orders soup. Overpriced and underwhelming. One soup was cold dishes lack taste. Save your money, don't buy as for sure I will never order from here again !!!!

Quick decision to go for a meal - really good food. Only fault was that the vegetables with the main were slightly undercooked perhaps a personal preference. Quick service and good atmosphere. Will return.

We Decided to have a meal before going to the cinema. We've been here before so it was handy. On arrival we were shown and brought to our table. Wifey ordered the aromatic lamb starters and I went for the Zao combo for 2, and a bottle of the Prosecco. It's a pity the Prosecco was Frizzante, the cheap low bubble version ( Wifey had to order the bottle twice its like they didn't hear during the first order. ). The prefered bubbles would be a Spumante or Champs and is usually the deciding factor if we return to drink and dine or not. But the waiter did arrive with cooled glasses, which was a nice touch. . For mains we both ordered Lamb Satay and sides of rice and chips . What arrived for wifeys starters was Aromatic duck starters. She said it to the waitress but the waitress shrugged it off. Anyway we were hungry so it didn't really matter. Lamb vs duck kind of the same eh?. It would be nice if they supplied the requested water by the jug as I asked for , rather than by the glass. Anyway we were very full from all the food. The meal cost about 100 and something euro. The staff were nice.

Visited Zao on a saturday evening and it was very quiet. This is listed as a Thai resteraunt but the Thai menu was very limited.nI ordered Thai chilli basil beef which is traditional ground beef with very little sauce, what arrived was a thick black soy based sauce with sliced beef and a ton of non-asian style veg, mushrooms in this dish is far from standard and the flavour was generic and food court like. nExpensive meal and not to a great standard, also my glass was chipped and it would habe been nice to leave the water on the table so we didnt have to keep requesting top ups.n

Really disappointed with my visit to the restaurant. i usually order takeaway from here and the food is very good. However, as a restaurant it fails miserably. We were not shown to a table on arrival. There were 4 people behind the bar that ignored us. We had to go over to the bar to ask for a table. We were told to sit anywhere. It then took ages to be brought a menu and then ages to be asked for our order. Zero atmosphere in this place and the decor is very bland and tables are tiny. We ordered 2 main courses with rice and 2 soft drinks. When the food arrived I was shocked by the tiny portions. The rice was served in a bowl the size of a teacup and the main courses were not much bigger. No complimentray prawn crackers which would be normal in a Thai restaurant. We were charged €37 for the meal and drinks but went home hungry. Will not eat at this restaurant again.

Food in the restaurant was a mixed bag. Partner loved his meal, stir fried chilli prawns, where as mine was average at best, chicken and cashew nuts. The chicken could have been more fresh. I have got takeaway from there a couple of times and it was good.

Ate here on a friday evening about 9pm ish, the restaurant was pretty empty for this time, the restaurant seemed very nice with good dinning lighting but the atmosphere was destroyed by a television on at the back wall in the restaurant with the food channel and sky news on, i kid you not, it was ridiculous, food was average, I have had better tom yum stock but the prawns in batter were excellent, chefs specials were good. the portion sizes sadly below average and side order; particularly rice were ridiculously small, and represented terrible value, it was not much more than a small tea cup size portion, didn't bother with desert at this stage after weighting it up, it wasn't shocking but certainly not great overall, the service was prompt - borderline pushy (place was quiet as i said) will not be back soon for the simple reason of there being too many restaurants around offering much better value.
