Hubby and I ate here last week and will definitely be back! We shared wings and garlic bread to start - plenty of meat on the wings with just the right amount of tangy hot sauce, the garlic bread was lovely and crispy with just the right amount of garlic for date night. He had the house burger and it was cooked perfectly. I had the sizzling beef fajitas and they were immense. Loads of fat juicy peppers mixed in with the tender beef. All the food was hot and well cooked and plentiful. The waitress was very welcoming and attentive. Their slogan is "we are not a pub trying to be a restaurant, we are a pub trying to serve good food" and on the basis of our meal there, they are trying and succeeding

We had been going there regularly over the past year, at least once a month. Generally great food. Went yesterday and the food was really disappointing. Menu changed not for the best.

My wife and I had an enjoyable bar meal here early on a Friday evening. It was our first time here and we came in fresh from a lovely walk along the beach and harbour. We had the fish pie and the rib eye of lamb, with ample fresh veg, followed by a shared dessert all washed down by 2 pints of Guinness each. The bill came to €53 which was very reasonable for what we had. The only downside was the Banoffee desert at €5.95 which had a most disappointing tasteless base and could have done without the sprayed on cream. Given the wonderful main courses it was a pity that some thought wasn't put into the dessert. We mentioned this to our very pleasant waitress but had no response from the kitchen. If we were in Rush again, we would certainly revisit but I'm not sure that we would travel any distance to dine here.

I'm a regular here living in the area. Never disappointed food of very good quality. Would visit even more often if there was more of a Sunday choice menu.

Love this place and will always be somewhere I will go either with friends, extended family or my own family. Caters well for kids and will do what you ask if you request a lil difference for yourself or the kids. The last couple of times I have been a lil let down but when I've gone back, whatever comment I made about the food etc was better and they are always very accommodating about switching food if its not what you expected etc. Highly recommend esp for a Sunday lunch with the kids, they really love it too.

Steaks tasted good they came out on a stone so you cooked to your liking. A bit expensive when the bill came. Not much of an atmosphere but would consider going back again to see if I have a better experience

Despite previous poster..We loved it ! Our booking was for 7 adults & 5 childeren and boy were we all impressed. The place was packed, atmosphere buzzing, food excellent and the service was at an exteremly high level. After the meal some had coffee outside in the beer garden, some watched the end of the football but we all walked off our lunch on the beautiful beach outside. A fantastic family day had by all.

I went to this restaurant with my sister and a few of her friends who were staying at a B&B nearby. The bar has a very cozy and lively atmosphere. Unfortunately the only vegetarian option on the menu was a rather flavorless and overpriced pasta dish, but those who ordered meat seemed pleased with their choices. The Sunday dinner is substantial and a good value.

I had heard rave reviews about the Harbour Bar's "Steak on the Stone" and decided to take a chance and bring customers along for something new. I can tell you now out of a group of 7 nobody was disappointed. Fantastic starters followed by the best steak I have ever had. For all food lovers out there, try the "Steak on the Stone" in the Harbour Bar....

As a regular of the Harbour Bar, I have to say that we love it! Friendly staff, great food (especially seafood), always more than one special on the board. Lovely beer Garden (even won an award for their flowers!) They are always keeping the menu fresh/seasonal and have just added the 'steak on a stone' aswell as super buffalo wings which I had missed because on the menu they are called 'barbecue wings'. Lovely wine list, I could go on. Most importantly, it is good value too!

In my opinion this must be the best Gastro Pub in North Dublin. It has been a few months but I am so glad I reacquainted myself with this Gem The food is exceptional quality. A stout Pie (Me) and Sunday Roast (Her) demonstrated an establishment dedicated to quality ingredients. Starters of chicken wings (as good as E&C) & succulent prawns really complemented the lunch. The relaxed atmosphere and great service will ensure that I don't leave it so long to return.
