Brilliant restaurant for girls' night out :) I have been dining this restaurant couple of times in a month, and their standard is very consistent. Customer service is 5 star service, can't find anything to critique about.

Very pleasant restaurant in the neighborhood and we enjoyed the staff service and food as always. I recommend you to make booking in advance especially on weekends as they are very busy.

We had eight for a family dinner, We all had different items on the menu and everyone said that the quality of the food was excellent and the value for money was also excellent. The service was responsive and not obtrusive and , unlike most restaurants when I asked for my coffee to be served with the dessert that is what I got. We will be back

My mum had been here the week previously and was raving so much about it that we had to go. We arrived a few minutes before they opened but they let us have a seat anyway. We went for the set menu, sharing chicken wings to start, which were just how I like them, lovely and crispy and full of flavour. Following that I had the fish and chips and my mum had the shoulder of pork (if I recall correctly). The pork was lovely but the fish and chips were only ok. The batter on the fish tasted like batter on fish you'd hear up in the oven at home and the chunky chips tasted like they were hanging around for a while, they weren't very crispy on the outside or fluffy on the inside. We ordered the fig and almond tart for dessert and after waiting for half an hour for it the waitress came over and apologised saying that our order mustn't have gone through, that she was very sorry and we wouldn't be charged. It came another few minutes later and was quite tasteless really, the ice cream was nice. As we were dining on the set menu anyway it only saved us about €3 by not paying for it, which didn't really make up for it in the end. As I said my mum had a fantastic meal the week before so maybe we just caught them on a bad day. The place was full with a great atmosphere though!

I have been here before and wasn't that impressed but everyone deserves a second chance. This time around, I'm afraid it wasn't any better - one of the most mediocre meals I have ever had. Was with a party of six and not one of us enjoyed our meal. That is saying something, is it not? The restaurant itself was cold, the portions were miniscule and it was certainly not service with a smile. We felt we were being hurried out of the place and depite leaving a substantial tip (big mistake and not my decision)), we didn't get so much as a goodbye. Will definitely never return to this restaurant. There will no third time lucky - Biggest waste of money.

Myself and my husband dropped in here yesterday evening for a bite to eat. When we arrived we were asked if we had booked, which we had not, we were told we could have a table but would require it back in 2 hours - which we were delighted with. We went for the 3 course meal, terrific value and the food was fab. I had wings, prawn linguine and knickerbocker glory. My husband had falafel, pork belly (he said the best he'd ever tasted) and apple crumble. I'd two glasses of house white and my husband had a mojito - amazing, freshly made!!! All of the above for the fantastic price of €71.00 - fantastic value, we will deffo be back!!!!!!

We live local and had been meaning to go here for a long time so on a rainy Sunday afternoon ,McHugh's came to mind . The location could put off a lot of people ,in the middle of a housing estate and opposite a very popular local pub "The Cedars" .But don't let that put you off ,this is a quality place to eat and a really relaxed atmosphere . I will start with a bit of and my only negative .I chose for my dessert the cheese ,it was a little disappointing as it was an eight of a piece of brie with lovely biscuits and walnuts .I just thought there could have been a bit of variety .As a desert it was really good . So to the food and what food it was . My wife had the soup of the day which was Butternut squash and Chilli .I think that a clean plate was the perfect answer to how good it was .I had a taste and it was creamy with a hint of chilli without it being overpowering ,a very good balance . I chose the HOUSE MADE FALAFELS, PICKLED CUCUMBER, MINT YOGHURT DRESSING. they were just so good ,everything on the plate worked so well together .The taste was delicious .Falafel at times can be dry and overly spicy but this was nice and moist . We both chose SHOULDER OF IRISH LAMB, HERB MASH, ROAST CARROTS, MADEIRA JUS .The lamb was so tender with the creamy mash and glazed carrots and the jus ,Heaven on a plate .On such a horrible rainy July afternoon that more resembled a November day, this was really comfort food . As said before I had the Cooleeney cheese and my wife had APPLE TARTE TATIN, BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE, VANILLA ICE CREAM.She is a butterscotch fan and really liked the taste of it with the apple .A real winner of a dessert . We chose a bottle of Malbec 2013 and this really complemented the lamb . A nice touch was that a bottle of water was brought to the table without having to ask . A big plus was the service and the waitresses ,friendly and knowledgeable .At €21 for 2 courses or €25 for 3 ,for the quality of food being served it is hard to beat .

12 of us out for dinner - so we definitely enjoyed ourselves - service a little slow at times but that may have been due to the size of the group. Food was lovely and good value for money.
