Had Sunday lunch from a set menu. 5 of us. We found the service quit slow. Other tables beside us who got dinner after us had there tables cleared and were eating desset while we still were still waiting forvtablevto be cleared. We had to ask for dessert menus to get a move on. One of starters was cold. Veg selection with mains was poor enough. It was just ok overall.

Visited for lunch, found parking very easy in front of premises and a very friendly and helpful security man keeping an eye on teh car park. Went into the hot food area, and the chef was serving a customer at the buffet. He explained what was available and I had lamb, with mash and carrots. Both the veg were only warm, certainly not hot and the lamb was tough and stringy. This was a poor lunch for the price and in fairness on my last visit the food was excellent. perhaps staff should ensure food is hot when served.

Excellent service, great baby changing facilty, helpful staff & lovely atmosphere. Standard carvery fare, no change in menu in last three visits & very overpriced!

The Halfway House, also known as "The Mulberry". the food is what you would expect from any pub/restaurant. The potatoes usually are cold and the meal pretty much tasteless. Value is not great, but then the food could be much better. If you go into the restaurant part, expect the menu to not have much and the prices to be high. All things considered, it's as good as you get around here.

I've been a regular visitor here for many years and I must say that I have always found the food to be tasty and good value and the service to be excellent. The staff always have the time to say hello and crack a few good humoured jokes. While the carvery portions are huge I nearly always go for the salad bar which is excellent for a veggie like me. The interior is very large, comfortable and homely and well furnished inside and outside. It is also an ideal place for disabled visitors as it has plenty of open space.

A good place for some local grub. We went on a Thursday and it was very quiet and lacking in atmosphere. The food was pretty tasty. Good value for money. Would go again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to make it back.

I have tried to so hard to like this place as its quite local but I cant. The food from the carvery is dull and tasteless, I have stopped getting the carvery when I have to go to the Halfway and instead opt for soup and a sandwhich, which what can I say, is dull and tastless. The service is OK. I dont expect much from staff working at a busy carvery bench as i have worked in similar jobs myself but on a couple of occasions i and my friends have been actually barked at by the server. i attended the pub for a christening and it was the worst place ever, its dull, they make no effort to brighten the place up, no music etc in the backround, all in all i try not to visit this place at all now the food may be cheap, but there is a reason for that. and with some of the early bird offers aroudn at the moment i dont think its even that cheap.

i went here for a carvery dinner today. the atmosphere is not great unless you create your own basically. the food is really nice and is avergage price for carvery dinner. the service is good. the only thing ill say is to try avoid sitting under the air conditioning, it can be really uncomfortable. the pub itself is really nice and always busy. overall it was a nice experience.

Have had the carvery dinner on a number of occasions and it has been lovely, but at our last visit my beef and the sauce was tasteless and dull while my boyfriends chicken with mushroom sauce was nice. Have on a previous visit had lamb shanks which were lovely, so it is a bit hit and miss. Have also eaten in the restaurant a while back and can only say, don't bother. The carvery is much better and so it the value.

Great pub grub! I often go there on a Sunday for food and have never been disappointed. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. They also do half portions which is really great if you do not feel too hungry. The pub itself is lovely and very traditional.

Popped in for some food here in the afternoon and it was lovely. Great location, they're happy to give you half portions for anyone not too hungry too. Nice won, reccommended.
