We had the good fortune to be passing through the lovely village Naul at lunch time on sunday afternoon and decided to stop for something to eat. We we're immediatly drawn to the wonderful old charm cottage look of the Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre Cafe. Upon entering we certainley were'nt disappointed, the atmosphere was fantastic and there was even a Irish Traditional music band playing out the back. We found that the staff were friendly and the service was excellent, but more importantly for us was that the food was great tasting honest food of the highest quality, which was all cooked fresh to order. The value for money we got was great, we both expected our wonderful afternoons dining experience in the Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre Cafe to be far more expensive than it turned out to be. We decided to share this with everyone because we're tired of all the recession talk and people complaining that it's too expensive to go out these days and we feel it's important to support good local small businesses when you find them, and to let everyone know that there are still fantastic places left to go with reasonable pricing, great food and lively entertainment. We had a great meal and a wonderful afternoon at the Seamus Ennis Cultural Centre Cafe and we'll definitley be going back...with friends next time! Stephen & Jennifer

My wife and I travelled to Ireland from Germany for the first time this May, after traveling through Malahide and Swords, we ended up quite accidentally in the lovely village of Naul. We stopped for lunch, including a homemade vegetable soup (delicious!) We were very impressed with the food and friendly service. We will be sending some of our friends who will visit Ireland this summer to experience this wonderful and original restaurant. Günter - Munich Germany

Forget all the overrated, void of atmosphere, soulless eateries in the city centre...this is where real cooking happens! A mix between food from the Med and pure food for comfort and you are half way there...a pure delight. The staff are polite and friendly, the wine list is well selected and well priced. You leave feeling satisfied and valued....go and eat there now!

This gorgeous cafe is tucked away in the peaceful and tranquil village of the Naul. Only 5 minutes off the M1 motorway but you feel like you are in the middle of the country. The atmosphere of the cafe alone given its location, the decor and the traditional Irish music sessions is almost worth a vist alone. I got there on a Sunday lunchtime with my nephew. The staff were really helpful in terms of helping me pick a vegetarian dish even though it wasn't on the menu. The food was delicious and full of flavour. One of the nicest parts was sitting outside on the benches in the sunshine with my nephew, sipping a coffee and having some dessery while listening to the trad session going on. When I went to pay the bill I was pleasantly surprised with the total. This place is really good value for money. Overall - lovely location, helpful and friendly staff, great food and fantastic value for money.

BEST PLACE outside Dublin. I brought friends from Italy to eat at the cafe because I wanted them to have the full Irish experience. Everything is utterly delicious, some dishes have a hint of French taste but overall the menu is all Irish...and oh my God, the cakes! All this for such a good value, that it really makes you feel like you're in a recession free area! SO worthwhile the drive, plus... the countryside is the ultimate escape from the grey madness of the city, right?

I went to the cottage cafe for sunday lunch and have nothing but good things to say about my experience. My husband and I started with the homemade vegetable soup served with soda bread which was delicious. For main course I chose the roast beef from the specials board and my husband who was nursing a hangover opted for the all day breakfast. I have to say my roast beef dinner was fantastic. The beef was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the gravey was full of flavour. My husband was very happy with his breakfast. I had the pavlova for dessert which was just the perfect end to this lovely meal. Overall I thought it was great value for money and the food was what I would describe as delicious comfort food. The staff were very friendly and efficient even though it was very busy. This cafe is in a thatched cottage and on the day we were there, there was live irish music in the room nextdoor which only added to the relaxed atmosphere. This place is well worth a visit!
