Haven't been here in a while as it had gone downhill but will be back. Food has improved greatly - back to like it used to be :) really enjoyed it. A little expensive.

I had heard that this restaurant had recently re-opened so as we had dined here a number of years ago and were out with family I thought we would try again. We booked a table for 6pm. We were the only guests there and they were still hoovering up the remains of the Christmas tree. The atmosphere was non existant. No heating, extremely bad lighting and had to use our phones to read the menu. When the food did finally arrive it was ok. The waiter was very pleasant but when the manager came over his demeanor indicated that he was not interested in the customers. I would certainly not recommend this restaurant. It was nice maybe 10/15 years ago but not now.

The food was awful. I love Chinese food but here it was sub standard for the price. I won't be back. The staff all seemed miserable too.

I ate here last night with my husband. The starter was ok, way overpriced. The mains where actually tasty but again had a huge price for what they were! I ordered a glass of wine and got what I can only say is a glass of vinegar!! I asked the waitress if she actually gave me a glass of Pinot and off she trotted to taste the bottle. She came back and informed me that she had a glass from the bottle the night before and it was fine. How long was this wine actually open for! It was vile and cost €8. I was charged in full. I also got a glass of water in a chipped glass. A massive chip on the rim of the glass. I could have literally cut my lip. To say this place is gone to the dogs is an understatement. Avoid completely and order from your nearest takeaway!

AWFUL!!! We went here for a birthday dinner and what a let down it was. We had to wait an hour and a half for the main course. The restaurant was only a quarter full at the time. The starters and main courses were so bland and tasteless that despite our hunger we left most of it after us. It was really loud despite not many there. We definitely won't be going back!

Go regularly for early bird. Love the food and staff lovely. Only downer is atmosphere is zero as during week only 1 or 2 tables on the go. Maybe chinese has had its day as one up the road never too busy either.

Four of us had dinner in Silks on Sunday 8th June. There wasn't much of an atmosphere in the place though most of the tables were occupied. Food was good though the portions for the mains were huge, and my pet hate - the plates were cold, which really isn't great when you are with a party and there is a lot of chatting going on over dinner - you quickly realise you are eating cold food. Two of us had our mains served on hot plates so they at least remained hot for a while. Not sure I'd return,

Love the food. But a bit dated in the decor, lacks atmosphere .could do with live music as it would give life to the place.as I said food is excellent

Tired decor, shockingly poor service, mediocre dishes grossly overpriced. This place isn't worth any more of a review.

The food was lovely and the service was very good.....My boyfriend brought me so I do not know the price but I have to say I would recommend the fillet beef curry it was lovely....Will definitely be back for more :)

Easily the most expensive Chinese in Malahide and the poorest. The staff have an attitude, the food is only ok and the prices are through the roof. We had a ten minute wait between our first and third starter being brought to the table and our rice arrived five minutes after our main course had been served. We won't be back.

Have heard about Silks over the years and decided to try it on Friday night. First off the decor is quite tired and there's no lighting to speak of so the room was very dark. The menu was quite limited especially the starters, we struggled to find something to pick. We got the salt and chilli wings which 2 of them were lovely but after the first 2 they became sweeter or something. We got a beef hot pot and crispy beef and they were okay, nothing major, not too much flavour to either of them. The staff were very nice but I won't be back. I don't mind paying for a good meal but for us this wasn't worth the money, even as a take away I wouldn't go back.

One of the traditional Chinese restaurants, Silks does Chinese food to perfection.Based in a vast and open space with nicely designed interiors, it is a most pleasant dining experience. While not the cheapest of restaurants,it is without exception the best Chinese Restaurant in Dublin.
