We went there for lunch around 1.00 pm ordered 3 scampi and chips very disappointed in the scampi ,it appeared to have been cooked twice as it was dripping in grease and hard shell on it , it was not a good experience and we have no intention of paying a second visit . Could not possibly recommend.nRegards Liam

Very inflated prices for below average food. Expected sizeable /quality starters for the price of them...but knew we being ripped off when they arrrived. Chicken-wings...good meaty wings but were a mixture of hot and luke warm/cold wings. Again for the 15.50 price I expected them to be quality. Service was good and when we voiced our opinions we guessed it wasnt the 1st time they'd heard this. We all decided against desert or coffee and got the bill. Disappointing. Plenty of better quality and value for money places out there. Wont be back.

Very poor. No atmosphere, dark and cold room. Poor selection on menu. French toast was cheap bread and we had to ask for maple syrup that came in a battered bottle. Very disappointing and unexciting.

We have eaten here a few times at different times of the week and it never fails for us. Stephanie and Kevin are so welcoming and could not have been more customer focused. Food is delicious I love the burger and the cookies & ice cream is delicious whilst the other half loves the chicken wing....

Ordered the potato skins to start (€9?!?) Expecting the usual dish of scoped out baked potato with cheese/bacon filling served with sour creme, to my surprise came lrg extremely undercooked potato wedges covered in a lumpy cheese sauce. The dish is not potato skins, although they call it that on the menu? the €9 dish is actually just wedges with sauce???? Burger was so dry! Side fries were a small child's portion. Boyfriend's food... fish cake starter, and prawn mussel pot were amazing!! Staff were great! So nice and quick.

Had lunch with the girls. Ribs and chicken wings were fab. I had the chicken a bit over done and dry but the slaw was great and the gravey saved the dried chicken. Buns for burgers were not toasted that let the burgers down. Service was very friendly but we had to wait too long for the food. Would go back just for the wings and ribs.

Visited the Scotch Bonnet for the second time on a visit to Dublin from Belfast. We love this restaurant! Food is amazing and the staff are the friendliest I've seen in a restaurant in a long time. We were seated upstairs in a lovely booth with plenty of space. Our food took the right amount of time, and when it came it was delicious. For starters we had wings and meaty flatbreads which made your mouth water!! For mains we had steak which were equally as good. Our waitress was great - chatty, jolly and very attentive! The one thing that was the cherry on top for our trip to the Scotch Bonnet was the music! Whoever organises the music should have a side business in DJ'ing!!! Will definitely be back!

The food was mediocre at best and over priced however this is not my biggest gripe. We asked for a second glass of wine and eventually after asking 3 times out wine was delivered 45 minutes later without apology. An absolute disgrace. Most eateries wouldn't charge, you would expect at the vet least an apology, we didn't get either. Exceptionally bad service, this waitress is damaging for the business. We will not be returning.

Celebrated a family dinner for my brothers 50th birthday here on Saturday. And I have to say we were so well looked after we had a fabulous night. We had a coeliac in our party who had plenty of options available and he didn't have any concerns. The restaurant is very well laid out and we had a great table (although not entirely cut off from other customers) which we wouldn’t have wanted anyway. We had a few changes in numbers which we only told them about the day before and it was obvious that they had re-arranged the table plans to handle it. The staff were so accommodating with all our different preferences and the food was very good from starters to main courses and dessert. We did bring our own birthday cake and they very kindly served it up for us. The service was very friendly and prompt. Couldn’t complain about anything at all - will definitely go back.
