Gibneys is a local family owned institution with lovely stone walls and flag floors. Young and old gather for live music, comedy nights, banter, and one of the better pints of Guinness around. Atmosphere weekends, spacious beer garden, upmarket grub and several bars all combine.

Five of us ate our lunch here. I have no complaint about the food but be warned to ask for a receipt and check what you've been charged for. I was paying for 3 of us plus 1 glass of wine. The guy behind the bar said €48, I said thats not right, he then said €38. I paid with laser and asked for €50 cashback and a receipt. He quickly gave me the receipt and disappeared without giving me the €50. Another man came over and I explained what happened. I also checked my receipt and they had charged me €8.50 extra. This was rectified and the man informed me that the guy who served me first was in fact the owner. No wonder he's doing well with this type of overcharging

Great pub, shame about the cheese board for 9.95 - it was a rip off as the amount of cheeses supplied were tiny for the price. Up your portion a bit people especially for the price we paid. Other than that ye are bang on :-)

Gibo's is a standing dish in Malahide but its more a place for a few jars rather than food! Although I did sample a burger over the xmas & it was fine if unspectacular but it did the job for a bit of soakage and was quite reasonable. They do a fair bar menu but I'd only eat here while having pints & hungry.

This is a nice place for a quick lunch and a pint. You won't get michelin star food, but it's tasty enough and cheap, so great if you want something in a hurry that's not too expensive. Good service and usually a good atmosphere when it's busy.

Great place to watch a match, you are nearly guaranteed that the fixture you want to see will be on one of their many many TV's! The staff are great and the food is decent pub grub and freshly made sandwiches. Great value for money.

Great pub. Go here with friends quite often.Always busy and great atmosphere. Recently got a much needed new menu. Went here recently with a group of 5, mainly eating steak and fish. All was delicious. Bar service can be a bit slow, sometimes paying more attention to their phones than customers! All round great pub for both food and drink. Would definitely recommend.

Not to be mistaken for a mere pub, this place had some great food deals as well as for boozy specials. Enjoy a fairly priced spud, chips or kicking curry that won't dissolve the wallet or spend your time in the beer garden guzzling inexpensive wine taken in from the adjoining off license (corkage free in some cases). Definitely worth a look!

Visited here on a sunny afternoon midweek in search of some decent pub grub. I commented on the cheap menu to my husband who laughed and said that that was probably because the food wasnt nice...then the food arrived. Chicken wings were alright, although we had asked for them to have no sauce, they came smothered in sauce, although tasty. So far so good. Onion rings, again very cheap...but this is probably because they came from the reastaurant supplier equivalent of LIDL. One bite eaten. Steak came, it was very tough, but pleasant enough I suppose, despite having to eat it without a steak knife. The major disappointment though was when the peppered sauce came on the plate in a styrofoam tub, complete with skin on top. The service wasn't great either. Stick to just a pint here.

A good pub atmosphere (though can be very busy), good service but mediocre food. I recommend Gibneys for a night out, but not dinner.
