Arrived last Saturday for the carvery as we had a GrabOne voucher and looked forward to trying out this local. The staff were extremely rude when we arrived and told them we had a voucher. They actually made us feel very uncomfortable with their attitude. Given the place was so empty and they weren't rushed off their feet - you would think they could manage to greet customers politely and without attitude. I'm guessing it is the poor customer service that has the venue empty of customers and the reason for the vouchers! Honestly, if they offered us free food & wine - I would not go back their again. We left promptly after our meals despite our original plan to stay after the food for a few drinks. We decided to go to another nearby pub where our custom was appreciated. After mentioning our experience to a few other local people, I learned that the poor attitude of the staff towards their customers - especially from the management - is normal for this venue and the main reason few locals frequent the pub. Very disappointing - but on the bright side, their's plenty of room to improve this venue :)

Went here for lunch. Great placed tucked away from traffic, gated parking for customers. Was busy when we arrived for lunch. Food reasonable. Staff helpful.

Had a voucher deal for two mains and a bottle of wine. Very quiet when we went in we had to hunt around for staff to help us. Food and wine nice enough, but the decor is very old fashioned and not very comfortable. Im not sure I would come back in a hurry.

Myself and my husband enjoyed 2 main courses and a bottle of wine here for €19.00. It was February 14th and we had a voucher deal so I was very impressed with the Addison Lodge for accepting our voucher booking considering it was Valentines day. Most other establishments will not accept voucher bookings on Valentines day so 10 out of 10 for that. It was our 2nd time to visit and again, the food was delicious and the service was great. My only disappointment was the quiet atmosphere on the night. I thought a little bit of Romantic music would have been on the menu considering the occasion, but despite this, I still enjoyed my evening and I will certainly visit here again.

Called in for lunch with a friend. The service was good and we were promptly served. We chose carvery which was very well presented. Freshly made wraps, salads and sandwiches were also available in addition to the hot food too. I chose cottage pie which was very good in taste and presentation. My friend had a chicken salad. We both cleared our plates. The atmosphere was good too with lot of regular clientele present which is always a good sign. You can even reserve a table if you wish. Overall after taking everything into account I would recommend a visit to this establishment which has an individual personality of its own.

Had a meeting here a little over a year ago after not going near the place in years. A few days later I gave it proper try and have been going regularly since. A great spot for traditional food. Carvery & evening menu are super and portions are great, real hearty food. The staff are fantastic and the lads that run the place are spot on nice guys who deserve the business they get. They have regular music sessions at the weekends and a great function room for all occasions. Located just opposite the Botanic Gardens and well worth a try!!!

Just had a hot choc (nice) and a banoffi - it was awful! It was like something out of a packet and tasted really fake. Both my friend and I had a headache for 12 hours after! Never again
