We have been eating here for over 10 years in both the restaurant and take away. One guy, I think his name was Tak, was always very friendly and helpful.nTonight we ordered a take away and discovered all the staff have been replaced by a whole new crew.nThe food is now different, obviously they have a new chef as well. The dishes were watery and the bag of prawn crackers was half full.nnBring back the old staff please

We went there for a birthday dinner and we got the early bird menu. It was 2 courses for €20 which was a great value. The portions were just right and the food was absolutely delicious!

We attended as a family for a celebratory meal, the atmosphere was poor, we asked for a mocktail but apparently they has no one to do it, overall very pricey for what we had and when we went to leave we said goodbye and thank you but the staff did not even acknowledge us.

Just home from an excellent meal in Chilli Banana. Arrived in on spec, no issue even though they were pretty busy. Was pleasantly surprised as a veggie I had 3 options for starters. My bf had the duck and loved it. Desserts were interesting and yum. Staff lovely, dinning room perfect atmosphere.

We had a family dinner (10 people) and it was fantastic. A great combination of friendly attentive staff, lovely atmosphere and most important fantastic food. We all had a variety of dishes with no complaints. A good choice of wine/beers. Everybody left full and happy.

We decided to give this place a go as we've tried most of the other restaurants along this part of Drumcondra. We arrived early with no booking and was shown a table down the end. There was a page missing from my menu which was a bit confusing for me . We had platter for 2 for starters and I had the mixed seafood and noodles and wifey had crispy duck and noodles. Portions were of decent size and food was very tasty. Flavours in mine were amazing. Service was excellent. I finished with ice cream and rum for my desert. I would have ordered some bubbles to drink but I was disappointed that they only had Frizzante prosecco on the menu . I prefer Spumante prosecco (the more bubbly type) or champers. Anyway I had a few tiger beers reluctantly instead.

Service not as good as usual. Think maybe chilli banana has new management and staff? Not as attentive or friendly. Food remains good.

I brought my husband here for his Birthday, booked it over Menu pages, the restaurant is really lovely very clean and nicely decorated. Staff are so nice can't do enough for you. We shared the combo starter then I had the chilli chicken and my husband the duck. People said the portions were very small but we couldn't finish ours just enough. It was quite for a Saturday night so more a romantic place than wild. Would recommend. :-)

Frequented this place recently. Restaurant cramped. Service was ok. Food was average but the portions were shocking. The starters are on small plates with small forks, my hands are big and I felt like a giant. The main and side consisted of 2 small bowls. Dessert was tiny too, fine plate but a little piece of pie in the middle. A complete rip off, would never ever return. I dine out on average 3 to 4 times a week and this was comfortably the worst dining experience I have had this year.

Loved this place,a little expensive but I cannot fault it.food was fresh and spicy, everything I want in Thai food. Wish I had kept room for desert, portions were definitely satisfying. Thanks for a lovely evening

Tables a bit close together. You can hear the other people's conversations clearly even when speaking low. Took a while to be served. Food pricey considering a side (ie: rice) is extra and not included in the main. Food was just average, and nothing you wouldn't get in a takeaway. Not worth the price charged.

Lovely food. Lovely service -- explained my wife's fish allergy and they made her a special dish! Delicious! Great evening out -- easy to talk in nice milieu.

Delicious excellent value early bird.If I was to make one suggestion it would be that early bird diners would get some prawn crackers when they sit down!I am a regular here to this restaurant & I will be returning again for their yummy chicken pangang curry with noodles!Delish
