We went to Yangs- formerly Wongs - with a voucher. The service was excellent and with table linen, candles, warm cloths to clean hands the feeling was of being somewhere a bit special. The food was good too!

Food was very nice, the special (starter, excluding 3 items, main course, rice/chips, Ice Cream & a tea / coffee) is good value for €25 (with a prawn or beef dish). I had the sizzling beef, my wife had the sizzling prawns and fried rice for two. However, the services was dire, I have been to Wongs many times in the past and would have always been very happy with the service. On this occasion however we Stood at the door waiting for someone to show up to seat us for a few minutes up to the point I went into the restaurant to find someone, Had to listen to the staff having conversations across the restaurant and with the kitchen staff by shouting. no one was going to bring us a bill as the staff were having a chat. So I went up to the till to pay, got a bill handed to me by someone who then walked off. I use to really enjoy Wongs with the family; sadly I won’t be going back, not because of the food (which really was excellent) but because of the service.

It's all gone so Wong.... this place used to be quite alright many many years ago. Now though it's greasy cheap food with surely staff. I think people are just keeping it alive as they're creatures of habit. Without that this place would surely be gone ages ago.

The food here is always lovely, but the staff are always so miserable. There is no atmosphere or smiles. A la carte is quite expensive. The Early Bird is a rip off- they advertise it from being €16.50 which would lead you to believe that it will be in or around that price, but it takes a HUGE jump up to €24 if you want chicken, beef or pork, and goes up to €25 if you want seabass, fillet steak or duck. It is quite misleading.

Love Wongs, we tend to go early evening as we bring our children so naturally the atmosphere is a bit dead. Food is amazing, the best Chinese food around, nothing or nowhere compares. The service is excellent and the children are always very well looked after. The even remember to bring a little bowl and teaspoon for my toddler.

We had a fantastic night at Wongs on this dreary Saturday evening. The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived. I had booked in advance because there were 8 of us in total. We have been here many times and we were discussing what we wanted to order before we even got there! Two of our party had never been and were happy to let us order for them. To start we ate Aromatic Duck and Aromatic Lamb. The flavours are mind blowing and even though we ordered ten starters between 8 of us, the plates were almost licked clean. We then moved on to Salt and Chilli Prawns, Chilli Beef and Steamed King Prawns with Garlic and Black Bean Sauce, washed down with lots of wine. Once again, empty plates. We finished with a complimentary platter of fresh fruit on ice and creme de menthe, followed by Irish Coffees. Can't wait to go back again. :)

Ate here with a friend and a visitor from New Zealand. Service was excellent throughout. All staff were extremely pleasant and highly attentive. Food wise I ordered off the set menu which offers very good value. I had a prawn toast starter followed by a beef in black been sauce main and to finish I chose ice-cream. My friend had a chicken dish and our visitor friend had beef in a black pepper sauce. all of us enjoyed our food. I really enjoyed my visit here and would both return and recommend Wongs.
