Went to The Yacht yesterday afternoon for something small to eat. Myself and a friend both had the soup of the day, which was potato and leek. It was really tasty. The brown bread that came with it was also very fresh and tasty. We also shared a side of the cheesy garlic potatoes, which were amazing. I found the bar/lounge to be very bright, so not very cosy. But definitely enjoyed the food and will be back for lunch some day. Staff were attentive and helpful.

When we arrived at the yacht it was busy. So busy that I had to go ask for menus and then ask to place an order. The food didn't come out together I waited a little longer than the rest of the party. The food was ok, not as nice as expected. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries this was accompanied with pickle and onion rings. The onion rings where hard, the sweet potato fries tasted reheated rather than fresh and the sandwich was unremarkable. My son had the pasta was bland. Garlic bread was nice tasty and fresh. Not sure if I would return

Very Disappointed with The Yacht , went with a party of 17 on 27th Dec ,service was slow and confused , given the large number I can accept that ,but the food was not up to scratch, the starter of Chicken Wings were so extremely hot as to be inedible , my husband had a Chicken Curry that was cold and tasteless and minus any rice !!! he asked for it to be heated up ,it looked disgusting and it was . My son ordered the Medallions of fillet beef at the cost of 18e which were like leather, another son had Scampi which were absolutely tasteless. On a good point my Lasagne was good . I don't think I can recommend The Yacht for a return visit .

As a vegetarian I would not rate the yacht. Very limited menu to cater for vegetarians..the soup was spicy chicken..so ended up with just chips, which smelled and tasted like the oil needs changing. As for the salad bar,the cross contamination is unreal..staff using the one glove to pick out chicken and then putting the same hand into cheese and other salad food..it is not somewhere I will visit for food again

A party of 3, we went for a meal at circa 6:pm. There were 4 unoccupied tables , all of which had not been cleared. We sat down at one on these and waited 10 minutes for a server to appear. She handed us the menus and came back shortly for our order. The meal took another 25 minutes to arrive. We ordered some water to drink. Three glasses arrived. When we asked for some more the server brought ONE glass of water! One of our party asked at the bar for a jug of water and was advised that they don't have any and he was given 3 pint glasses of water. The girl serving our table seemed to have no interest in her job and this was very evident. Not a place I would recommend at all as this was our 3rd visit and things have not yet improved.

We ended up in the Yacht on the night of one of the World Cup Games. It was packed but with the number of waitresses in the place the service should still have been much better. Not only did most of them walk past us several times despite looking at the table with no food or drinks. We repeatedly tried to catch their attention which proved utterly unsuccessful until a friendly waitress who seemed to be doing 5 jobs simultaneously already looked after us. The food (chicken burger with sweet potato fries and the calamari plate) was delicious with the chicken being tender and the calamari delightfully more calamari than batter. Always recommended but maybe avoid days of big sports events.

Extremely disappointed in this restaurant - Booked through Menupages weeks before a visit to Dublin to celebrate my husband's birthday. Upon arriving (with the printed email) was told that we did not have a table booked as they don't take bookings for a Sunday. Very bad customer service and no apology - said they would find us a table eventually but we would have to wait. When we showed them the email they just said it was not from them and had nothing to do with them. Due to attitude of staff we left - would not recommend to anyone for any occasion. Very sad when we had researched and booked for a special occasion.

Carvery here is excellent... Worth coming here for the garlic potatoes alone... Food is always top notch. Only problem is the place is so popular at lunchtime that parking and finding a table for a group can take a bit of time.. worth the wait though

Had lunch, I had quiche and choice of four salads from the salad bar for €8, was very good I was so full I didn't need dinner later!! Really interesting fresh salad bar, lady beside me got a fishermans plate and it looked fab too. Service was excellent and even though it was really busy we were well looked after, lovely barman aswell. Lunch for 3 was €19 which I consider excellent value, will be back soon

Very pleasant atmosphere and great food. The location is lovely with a nice view over the bay and parking right beside, so the Yacht is ideal for families. The staff are very helpful and friendly, so all in all a lovely restaurant.
