Its well over 2 years since we last used the Restaurant - because it had gone down hill. We tried it yesterday and were absolutely delighted with the food/service etc. The plates were completely clean going back to the kitchen. Stakes were perfectly cooked. Whichever chef was on duty last night - TOP MARKS to you. We will definitely be back, soon! Cant wait yum yum

Restaurant has been relaunched. Very friendly staff. Allowed us choose from either the restaurant menu or bar menu with no problems. Very keenly priced meals €9.99+. Waiting Staff regularly checked with us to see how we were doing. Very spacious & great service. Would highly recommend.

Had a voucher for an overnight stay in this hotel and decided to stay for a meal at their newly rebranded restaurant. Service was excellent, food was delicious and very good value. Caesar salad was amazing and good chicken wings. Very nice house wine. Recommended. Breakfast was good too.

Stayed at the Bracken Court on a voucher with meal for two with wine and bed and breakfast. The main restaurant was not open as it was a Monday night so we had our meal from the bar menu. One had sirloin steak and the other had the american burger. Both cooked to perfection and served with chips, mushrooms, onions and salad. Both cooked to perfection. The ceasar salad and rib starters were excellent too. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly. Will be back. Breakfast was excellent too.

It's neither possible, nor fair, to judge the atmosphere in a restaurant when a meal is booked for 6 p.m. The Laveer is a spacious restaurant and there were only two other couples there at that time. We went for the €29, three-course meal-for-two. We shared a starter and a dessert and both chose different mains. I had the Hake with dill mash and it was delicious. I’m a fish lover and have never had Hake before but after tasting it last night, will definitely have it again. It was beautifully cooked, tender and moist. The mash was lovely and creamy and we were brought a very colourful side dish of roasted vegetables to accompany our meal. The dessert of Chocolate Ganache Pudding was to die for. Meals were well cooked, and presentation was top class. Service was prompt - our waitress had a great sense of humour which added to the evening. It came to €51 for two of us (including a bottle of red wine). That's very good value by any standards these days.

We stayed overnight at the Bracken Court and decided to avail of an offer of a 3-course meal for two people for €29 in the hotel restaurant. To be honest, we were a bit dubious because it was so cheap, but we needn't have worried. The meal was delicious, and while the menu on offer wasn't extensive, there was something to suit most people. Service was very good, overall it was very good value for money.

Stayed here as part of a deal for overnight stay and 3 course dinner which in itself was great value. Service and food were excellent. We had 3 of our party who failed to show and staff were very understanding. Five of us all agreed that potions were very generous. I was unable to finish my main course and asked if I could just have some fruit for dessert as I was so full and I was given a beautiful array of fresh fruits which I shared with one of my companions and yet we still couldn't finish it. Nicest meal I've had in a while and couldn't fault a thing. Would recommend very highly.

We went there yesterday after getting a deal for an overnight stay and a 4 course dinner for two. The hotel itself was lovely but the food was appalling! We both ordered the gratinee mussels for starters. The food was cold and tasteless. Then I ordered the hake with dill mash and he ordered the steak with chips. My course was once again cold. The fish was not cooked and the sauce was appalling. The desert, mini eclairs, was a little bit better but nothing exceptional. The only enjoyable part of the dinner was the tea (and the glass of wine!). We will not be recommending it or returning any time soon!

Ate here last Saturday night with my husband as part of a beddeals package, we both ordered the morrocan chicken starter which was suppused to be in a yoghurt, lemon & coconut sauce but which was actually quite tasteless this was served with a cornmeal wrap which as a result of the sauce on the chicken was soggy. Both ordered the rib eye steak which was lovely & the handcut chips & peppercorn sauce was gorgeous, however it was supposed to be served with roast beef tomato but all we got was a half of a regular one. The tiramisu for dessert wasn't hectic so I ended up left half of mine. I didn't think the service was up to much - the head waiter wasn't in any way friendly or inviting, the jug of water that wasbrought to the table was warm & despite us both ordering steak only one of us were given a steak knife. Don't think I'll be rushing back any time soon

We ate in Laveer on Friday night as part of a board deals voucher (amazingly good value by the way!!) and really enjoyed it. There was a large part seated behind us which I thought was going to get a big loud but once they had there food I hardly noticed them there at all as there were on a different level to us. Good atmosphere as restaurant was quite busy, food was great - soup and Moroccan chicken to start and Rib Eye Steak and Hake for our mains, Hake could have done with some kind of sauce with it but other than that it was faultless, steak was nicely cooked and came with delicious chips and pepper sauce2 Tiramisu for our dessert were nice, a little fluffy for my liking but grand really, I am just too fussy :) We also enjoyed a really nice and good value bottle of Malbec with our meal. Service was a little slow which I didn't really mind as we were in no rush and I like a bit of a break between courses, we were served by two different servers who were both really friendly and helpful. We will return to Laveer after our first experience was so good! Thank you to all.

Stayed in the Bracken Court Hotel at the weekend and we booked dinner in the restaurant for 8.30p.m. Our first impressions of the decor and ambience were good but unfortunately we were met by a young man at the entrance who was very dis-organised and took about 5 mins to seat a couple and get them menus etc. We were then led to a table for two that was practically boxed in by a wall on one side and a column on another -very disappointing. We got a glass of wine fairly promptly but from there on in the service became shockingly slow - we waited an hour for our starters and a further hour for our mains. This meant we were eating our dinner at 10.30pm. From looking around, we weren't the only ones experiencing these unacceptable delays. To be honest, I don't mind gaps between courses but this was too long and my appetite for my main was ruined by the time it came. Since the dessert was included in the package rate, on principle we ordered them and thankfully they were out within 10 mins. The food was nice but the slow service ruined the experience and I will not be returning.

I went with my wife to the Braken Court Restaurant on New Years eve. While the restaurant was by no means full. The service and food were excellent. For starters my wife had the Caesar salad and I had the duck, for mains I went for the Roast Breast Of Herbed Chicken Stuffed With Annascaul Black Pudding and my wife the Beef. We were very happy with the level or service and the food was very good. It was great value for New years eve as many other places had upped the prices for the night. We will be back.
