Had a lovely lunch sitting outside in the sun. The menu has lots of variety from calzones, paninis, salads, soup etc and really reasonably priced. Food was tasty as was the wine! Service was a little slow but it's just a really easy going cafe so can forgive them for this. Nice little place to watch the world go by!

Tiny place but with good vibe. I am a frequent customer. Drafts sometimes during the winter time. Great food for affordable price however I have recently noticed that the portions have been decreased without price decreased as well (!!). I hope that it was just an "accident".

This place is great. It's hard to find a reasonably priced spot for lunch within a 10 minute walk of here. They do great wraps, panini's, calzones and pizza and some of these are for a nifty €5. The seating is a bit tight with benches inside and tables and chairs outside. But for me to not blow €10 on an "ok" lunch is great so I will forgive any tight spaces in this case. Most of the places on South William Street are not great for lunch merely for the price that they charge. But Calzone Cafe will be my lunch spot from now on.

This is a great place for lunch as you can sit outside and watch passers by. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is well priced. I always enjoy my meal here as they are quick and it never disappoints!

I made a recommendation to my friends to try out this restaurant as previously I had found the food to be tasty and well- priced. Upon our visit yesterday however, I don’t think any of us will be venturing back. Firstly the staff really did not seem to want to take our order, then the food that we were given (although extremely well presented) was not even worth the reasonable asking price. We ordered the chicken burgers and the chicken wings. The wings were extremely fatty and almost inedible. When the waitress was clearing the table she did ask if the wings were satisfactory and when I replied that they weren’t (sheepishly, but she did ask..) nothing was done about it. To put the final nail in the coffin my change was given to me in small change. Ouch.

This restaurant is a must for anyone looking for really tasty food at very reasonable rates. It is ideal if you are looking for a reasonably priced lunch for under a tenner or an early bite to eat before a night out. Their calzone is just so tasty. On the downside, they are all premade so you can't have any variation but you quickly get over that as they are so tasty. Definitely not a place to have a romantic date, more of a leisurely lunch with friends.

stumbled on this place with my partner and sister on a very cold and wet winters evening, had a quick scan of the menu which appealed to all and went inside, the gentleman serving and working there immeadiately came over and gave us menus, my sister and I shared the meat and cheese platter and the goats cheese bruschetta, both delicious, my partner had the club calzone, my sister and I had a glass of prosecco and my partner had a sol, there was salad with all the food which brought some added colour to the deliciousness of the meal. would highly recommend this place, absolute gem....

I was here before for brunch which i loved so decided to come back here to try out their lunch menu with a friend. The cafe is great for people watching if your sitting outside. I ordered the freshly squeezed orange juice which i really like and cappuccino. Not sure if it was their milk or coffee, but it tasted more like a latte than a cappuccino, very milky. My friend decided to go for a chicken salad in sweet chilli sauce and i played it safe with club sandwich and we shared fries. The salad was dreadful, it was drowned in sweet chilli sauce and the chicken looked like it was processed chicken. The sandwich was ok. At the end when we paid, they never even asked why my friend had barely touched her salad. I just cant comprehend that. Overall, in a great location but i will be sticking with the brunch menu next time.

When strolling around sunny Dublin yesterday looking for somewhere to stop into for dinner, I came across the Calzone Cafe as the outside decor appealed, quaint and inviting. We sat outside in a cosy corner of the front 'garden area' tucked away from the bustling St William street and Wicklow street. I couldn't decide what to eat as the menu catered for all taste buds. I was tempted by the funky presented bucket of chicken with gravy and the numerous flavours of calzone or pizza. In the end, we ordered the large Goats cheese and Caramalised Red onion relish Bruscetta with Salad which went down a treat with a glass of wine and a lighter option of the Tuna salad garnised with a tasty dressing. Both accompanied with a helping of seasoned fries. The meal was delicious, but left no room for dessert after the tea. It was a very chilled athmosphere with soft music playing in the backgound allowing chatter in the garden. Besides the food being tasty, the atmosphere being pleasant and the decor being cute, the prices were very reasonable. I will definately be back to try the calzone amongst other dishes on the menu, but I will also have to have an excuse to pop back in for a cup of tea sometime so I can try their apple tart with custard !

Nice place to go in the evening for a coffee instead of the pub. Also, their chicken wings are fantastic- covered in a sticky glaze possibly soy based. Plenty of light options and the salads look great. Cosy and friendly

Went there for lunch with my friend but realizing we were short for time it turned into a takeaway. I got the Hawaiian calzone crepe which from watching them put it in the grill was pre-made, it was tasty but wasn't grilled thoroughly so the middle of it was still cold which wasn't great. My friend had one of the pan inis which she said was a lot better. Was still pricey enough though.

Went for a bite to eat with two friends here earlier on. The seating arrangements are very cramped. To make up for this the polite staff and spectacular coffee are a plus! One friend ordered a plate of wedges which came seasoned and crisped to perfection! I myself ordered a margarita calzone which was nice in itself. The salad which accompanied it was a little plain but overall an enjoyable meal. Nice spot to visit after a long day of shopping in the city center.

I popped in here on a busy Saturday afternoon to get some lunch to-go, while out doing some shopping. The staff were very efficient and the place was wedged, which is always a good sign. I got a "healthy wrap" (roasted veg, hummus, pesto in a toasted wrap) and a cup of tea. The wrap was pretty big, and very tastey - it was more than enough to fill me up! The cup of tea was very large, compared to what you get in most places for the same price. I will definitely be back for a tastey, healthy bite to eat when i'm in town.

I have been visiting here every couple of weeks for the past six months - I've always found the staff very pleasant and the restaurant itself a nice place to grab a quick bite to eat, the seating area outside is particularly nice and manages to strike a nice balance in that it maintains a comfortable place to eat while at the same time it doesn't cut off the city altogether. The last time I was there, I had the chicken club calzone - an excellent meal which leaves you full but with no bitter aftertaste when it comes to paying for it!

Popped in here for a small meal last Thursday evening with a friend. The waiter was very friendly and found us a table inside the door. He advised my companion on the best burger to have and we duly ordered. I ordered the nachos with chicken. I didnt feel that these were really the best value as the the cheese on top seemed like cheese from "easy singles" or processed cheese and not normal grated chedder. This kind of ruined the nachos for me and there was to much of this proceessed cheese melted on top. My companion also commented that the italian burger while nice was very salty. Overall maybe we just made bad ordering choices and the food coming out to other customers did look good but in my opinion I wouldnt be in a rush back to this restaurant.
