Popped in on a Friday evening with a friend looking for a bite to eat in a relaxed atmosphere. Starters (Polenta 'chips' and calamari) were ok, but the pizza was very good and quickly devoured. House wine very drinkable. Staff friendly as always. It was a Friday so staff in many places can be frazzled, but here they seem to take it all in their stride!

We were a party of 9 who went here for lunch which was priced as 25 euros. There was a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 desserts. All were lovely and portions were good. Staff were very attentive. We had house red and white wine which were both lovely. I don't think I could fault it very much . I would definitely return here again

Service here is second to none. The staff are humorous, knowledgeable and attentive in equal measure. The food is great with ever changing daily specials. I tried the Craft beers from Italy and certainly had my eyes opened as regards what Italy can do on the beer front. One of our favourite places in Dublin

Party of 4, this was our first visit to this restaurant and what a joy!. It was recommended to us by an Italian friend who said it was the most authentic Italian in Dublin. We had Tagliatelle Verdi and two pizza. The food was absolutely beautiful and the waiter explained the menu very well. The desserts would be well advised, they are delicious. We shall certainly make a return visit soon.

Love this restaurant. Great authentic Italian food and while not cheap is good value for money. I had a shared starter (ciabatta rustica) and the special (spaghetti with fresh tuna). Washed down with a couple of glasses of Barbera D'Asti - perfect with pasta. Great service, as always.

Wonderful authentic Italian food. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. The food was a little salty for me but that was probably because my dish contained Tuscan sausage. My friends raved about the quality of the pizzas. Great food and very good value. I'll be back.

Was here the other night with my friend and had the most amazing meal. I am originally Italian and find it hard to find real authentic Italian food but eating here I felt like I was back home. We had the Parmigiana and Calamari to start, both dishes were amazing. For mains my friend had the Squid ink Spaghetti, it was absolutely beautiful, bursting with flavors and the portion was huge. I had the Truffle Ravioli and again, absolutely gorgeous, so tasty, A little heavy though, I wish I had have ordered a smaller starter or none at all as I could barely finish. All in all it was a great experience, the atmosphere was calm, the interior plain but all made up for by some fabulous food!

Very impressed with our recent visit. Shared starter was amazing. Main courses (for all 3 friends) was out of this world. Steak was perfect. Pork and fish dishes were to die for. Staff very attentive and friendlly. Overall we could not fault anything except the main door which was left opened and blew in a cold breeze. Price was also good and we all agreed that we certainly would be back real soon. Well done to all at Bar Italia

Went here for lunch and sat outside one of the sunnier days of this year and it was lovely. The waiters were all very attentive and polite. The menu is so extensive and lots of choice. The price was a little steep for a margarita pizza but it was very nice and I would definitely be returning.

Probably the best pizzas in Dublin. Prices have gone up in the past year or two, but it's still worth every penny. Lovely wines too, and an excellent choice of starters. I had bruschetta with tomatoes to start which was very tasty, and a pizza Capricciosa for my main. As I said, it's probably the best pizza in Dublin! The desserts are maybe not quite up to the standard of the rest of the menu, but who cares really, when the pizzas are this good. The staff are always very friendly, can be a bit lacksadaisical but you'd let them away with it, it's the Italian style!

Enjoyed a really nice meal at Bar Italia . Particularly enjoyed the antipasti starter and the squid ink pasta with seafood . Very handy location right on the river Liffey . My first time there but not my last .
