Our Head Chef Jan Sowtus uses modernists' techniques and artistry which come together to produce amazing results. He has developed a menu that combines old classic’s like Nuea Pat Si Ew Kao with new East signature dishes like Soft Shell Crab. The result, a heady hi-lo fusion that combines the thrill and taste sensation of simple dishes with the refinement of some of the greatest gourmet dishes.
Although many of our dishes are from Asian origin our menus also feature dishes from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Japan to make EAST a true celebration on Pan Asian cuisine.

How can a hotel restaurant run out of beef and prawns On a Friday lunch time ? You are based in the city surely it's not that hard to replace .nWhat we did receive ( chicken choices) was tasty and good value; generous portions in a nice environment with attentive friendly waiting staff.

Hi, Myself and my +1 dined here last night. Excellent service, food, warmth and wine! We had a Menupages voucher so the menu was not the a-la-cart but there was enough there to tempt the tastebuds! Will definitely be back! Thanks East!

Dinner for two on a Friday night at East; we had starters, main course, shared a desert, and a cocktail each. Also a glass of wine with the main course; bottles were stupidly expensive - hotel markup prices, I imagine. Cocktails were far more reasonable at a tenner a go. I had Crispy Shredded Chicken to start and Pad Thai for the main, while Mrs. had the Steamed Prawn Dumpling and the Sea Bass, and we shared a Lemon Meringue Pie. Everything cooked to perfection, although the desert was a bit plain. Service was excellent (Mrs. particularly noted that when the waitress opened the steamed prawns, she turned away from the table to avoid dousing us in steam), with the exception of a guy who I guess must have been part of the management chain (or the manager) who oozed fake charm at all and sundry. This really wasn't necessary - the staff who took our orders and brought us our food were absolutely top notch and didn't need that guy floating around. The only real negative point on the atmosphere was the music; the restaurant backs up onto the hotel bar, and the bar music - thumping dance music - made it difficult to hold a conversation even though we sat as far away from it as we could. Bill came to €100, which was fine; shame about the wine prices, as they had at least one of my favourite wines on the menu but I wasn't inclined to pay the roughly 50% markup on the bottle. We'll go back, but I think maybe we'll try a weeknight when the bar might be quieter.

Yesterday me and my lovely girlfriend decided to have lunch in the Spencer hotel in the IFSC. It was hustling and bustling the whole time we were there. The waiting staffs discipline was immense, there were a few crying and screaming babies. We both had the spicy chicken wings to start.... and they were so scrumptious. Just had the right amount of spices. For mains she had fish and I had Steak. They cooked it absolutely spot on, medium rare. My misses didn't care for the fish, she felt the portions were abysmal. After our mains, we shared like a coconut ice cream which came in it's actually shell. The decor was transparent, not really getting on anyones nerves. Service was impeccable, food was delightful And wallet is crying. Overall 8.5 of out ten

We stayed in the Spencer Hotel on Saturday night and made a reservation for the East Restaurant. I love Thai / Asian food and, thankfully, this restaurant did not disappoint! The food was lovely. We also had fantastic cocktails (oh, so nice! Can definitely recommend the passion-fruit bellini!) and a bottle of wine. The decor is lovely, great atmosphere - modern yet intimate. Aside from all these usual nice things you expect from a nice restaurant, the service needs a special mention here. We were served by possibly the best waiter we've ever met. His name was Mate and he was fantastic. So attentive, pleasant, polite and funny, too. Just super. Keep up the good work :)

We stayed at the Spencer on this evening as part of a hen party. So, following our cocktail lesson we had dinner at East. The service was great and quick but the food wasn't special and I love thai food. As a vegetarian I like thai food for it's flavour and experimentation with vegetables, tofu etc... I ordered the chow mein with tofu and asked for more veg than noodles. The noodles were a bit grouped together and I got very little veg, the sauce was slightly too salty too. Loved the atmosphere, the interior, the service and the value for money - it was just a pity that the food wasn't great.
