Wow, had the 5 course tasting menu, absolutely amazing, this restaurant fully deserves its Michelin Star, has to be in the top 3 restaurants in Dublin for food and not to mention an exemplary service, already booked to go again in mid Jan. Well done "The Greenhouse" great job being done by all.

Wonderful lunch here on Friday. Went for the two course menu as was pressed for time. First an amuse bouche then a delicious starter of foie gras, followed by the cod, which was cooked to perfection. Service throughout the meal was impeccable. The dining room is absolutely beautiful too. With Mickael Viljanen in the kitchen, the Greenhouse is well on its way to earning a deserved Michelin star.

I loved this place, really good atmosphere (not too posh) and amazing food. The only negative (or not so good) point if any, would be about the wine. I asked the waitress to choose glasses of different wines going well with my dishes and out of 3, 2 were clearly not tasting good. But the overall quality was excellent, the food is definitely a very high standard and it deserves a Michelin Star, I would definitely recommend this place.

An outstanding dining experience. Having eaten in many of the top restaurants in Dublin both my partner and I came out of The Greenhouse with the opinion that this restaurant out performs many of them. The food was heavenly, every course a delight, the fish course was possibly the best main I have had. The staff could not have been more helpful and, having booked last minute and seated at the early seating, I expected that we would have to vacate the table at some point in the evening. This was not the case and we spend several hours enjoying the atmosphere and food. Although not a cheap place to eat, we both felt it was well worth the money and are looking forward to returning soon.

An outstanding dining experience. My partner and I had the tasting menu. Every course was perfection. Having eaten in many high quality restaurants in Dublin, we both came out with the opinion that this is possibly the best restaurant we have eaten in. The fish course for me, was by far the highlight of the menu. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. It is a bit pricey however, we were more than happy to pay as the service, food and atmosphere were outstanding. Highly recommended to all foodies.

This is definitely my favourite restaurant in Dublin. I've saved it for special occasions. Each time its a thrill. The food, the service, the attention to detail. On the first occasion we had the 7 course tasting menu. I knew this was indulgent, but justified it as my special night. It didn't disappoint, such tasty molecules of food. the savoury meringues that just popped when in your mouth. They have reduced this now to a 5 course tasting menu. This is a perfect size, sufficient portions, you feel you've had a meal. We haven't opted for the wine tasting - but are glad to see that they have wines which are affordable as well as the more pricy top of the range selection. If I've one negative, and this is to the owner, its the venue itself. Its too small for this kind of fine dining experience. This chef will be deprived of his deserved Michelin star because of the venue. You step straight from the street into the restaurant and the tables are a little close for a Michelin experience. Do give the Greenhouse a visit, you won't be disappointed and the price is not excessive for what you get.

It was our ruby wedding anniversary. We had the tasting menu with wines. The food was absolutely wonderful. Each mouthful was exquisite blending of flavours with the wines matching each course delicately. Service was exceptional and unobtrusive. Yes we will be back. Expensive but worth every penny.

I booked the Greenhouse for lunch with a client last week as we both wanted to try somewhere we hadn't been before. I won't be rushing back. We were seated into the tightest table for two in the restaurant. I would have thought they would try seat customers as comfortably as possible when they have room to do so. The waiting staff were extremely polite and well-trained but none of them came across as friendly or natural but rather stiff, uninterested and rehearsed. I thought the lunch menu was very overpriced - €29 for 2 courses or €35 for 3! Only two choices for each course unless you count the cheeseboard which carried a hefty supplement of €8. We had a complimentary amouse bouche which was a nice touch. We both opted for the roast cod and were stunned at how small the portion of fish was. Now, I've eaten in many a fine-dining and Michelin-starred restaurant over the years and I'm used to modest portions but this was just miserable. It came with 4 or 5 pieces of asparagus, a spoonful of peas (maybe 10 peas) some micro herbs and some tiny drops of sauce. I had ordered sparkling water when we started lunch and after the waiter poured the last of the water into our glasses he returned straight away opening another bottle. Fine, but I didn't order it and I hate when waiters do that. The wine was also overpriced, I felt. We ordered a glass of white and a glass of red - the red was €11 and was the cheapest on the menu! We had the passionfruit soufflé to finish which was fine - nothing special, though. All in all, it was a very underwhelming experience. There are far, far better restaurants with better atmosphere, friendlier service and better value for money in Dublin.
