The waiter was great. The Shojin salad was one of the nicest salads I've ever had.The Ebi Gyoza which is Japanese style dumplings filled with prawn and garlic chives was OK. For mains we had Beef Tataki and Yamamori Yaki Soba both were absolutely fabulous. For dessert I had New York Cheesecake which was probably one of the best I've ever had.I can't wait to go back.

Very unimpressed. Enjoyed this restaurant a few times in the past when it was a less crowded setup; this time around, the only positive was our waiter. Front of house staff were rude and inattentive (one glanced at me and walked off as I stood waiting to ask about my reservation); they'd previously seated my dining companion but couldn't tell me where, leaving me to search the place myself; food was mediocre and looked like it'd been fetched from a nearby takeaway and microwaved, but they still charged outrageously for it. We tipped our server, as he was polite and friendly, but made a point of tipping in cash to ensure it was for him and not for the restaurant's bottom line (and said as much to him). Terrible dining experience, will not be going back any time soon.

Expensive but big portions. Busy city centre restaurant that's handy if you want to eat early without booking any other time I'd book in advance. Nice staff.

I got the Veg Bento box with black rice and I couldn't finish it, amazing value, so much food and fantastic taste. My friend got the tofu steak and again huge tasty portions.

I have gone to this restaurant for nearly 20 years, it never fails to disappoint ...... From the deliciously fresh sushi to the hearty warming noodle dishes and everything in between. I also love the Bento boxes which change daily and are a great value lunch option. But what really makes this restaurant are the staff, friendly and efficient, every single time. I love Yamamori and will keep on coming back.

My favourite Dublin restaurant. Food is amazing. On our rare nights out in town my partner and I always come here and we always just order the bento box regardless of what's in it. Everything is always good. I can't say I've ever been disappointed. It gets busy so it's good to book ahead on a weekend night.

Love this restaurant and try to get back to it often. Service is fast, efficient and friendly, even when it's really busy. As a vegetarian I find the selection to be great, lots of choice (I especially love the Roasted Veg curry, its delicious). My husband loves the Bento Box, and its variety. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had a special lunch just for the 2 of us in Yamamori today. Unfortunately only one of our starters was ordered- so my wife had finished her Ebi Tempura, before mine was delivered. Similarly with the main course- there was a considerable delay in delivering the courses to my wife and myself. The staff were friendly and apologetic for the delays. The food was amazing. I gave 3.5 for atmosphere- as the Japanese music in the background was far too loud- and really thumping. The film on the background being projected onto the wall- I am now thoroughly familiar with- it would appear to be one of the only films in their library. You go here for the food though- and to be perfectly honest- the food is excellent. I was last here less than a forthnight ago- my returning so soon is a measure of how much I enjoy the food- my birthday lunch was delicious. Its expensive- and the service can be a bit hit and miss- but by god- the food is devine.

Lunchtime on Tuesday the 21st April 2015. Shown to table promptly- and served a cup of green tea. Given the menu and the specials along with some tips from the waitress. Ordered a tempura prawn starter (Ebi Tempura), followed by a Japanese curried chicken served with sticky rice and delicious pickle. I was going to have desert- but was stuffed from the starter and main. The price was just over 20 Euro. Its not cheap for 'lunch' (I've put hyphens around 'lunch' because- I certainly wasn't hungry for dinner that evening after the delicious lunch I had). The food was delicious- there is no other word for it- it was spot on. My birthday is coming up shortly- and my wife has said she is taking me out for lunch for my birthday. I will be paying Yamamori another visit!
