My self and my wife Irina went here for a romantic diner. From the first taste of the food we were blown away. We started with Guinness Bread. Our starter was Irish smoked and cured salmon, caper berries, compressed cucumber,a slice of heaven. We had two different main courses. I had Roasted loin of rosa veal, flageolet beans & winter vegetable cassoulet with a side serving of Lobster Mash. My wife had Seared Tuna, warm nicoise salad ,potato crisps with a side order of sweet potato chips. Each dish was perfect. The desert was 2 Valrohna choclate cake,Valrhona is a French premium chocolate, followed by two cappuccino. The wine was Chateau Lagrange 2014 The atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was perfect, just enough but not too much to spoil your meal. The food quality is on a par with Mitchellan Restaurants I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

This was probably my worst dining experience in a long time. I ordered sole on the bone. It arrived dry wizened and in 2 small fillets. After some considerable time another was presented...Dre wizened and on the bone. The veg that had arrived with the first fish were only now taken away and in fact returned re-heated (with the terrible taste you get from badly re-heated potato)

Last Saturday we went to Wilde for our second recent visit, having enjoyed it thoroughly a few months ago. This time was so different. Firstly we were given a table in front of the door and under the cold air conditioning. The door was closed at our request and the aircon turned off. The place didn’t heat up until we were leaving. Our starters were fine, nothing remarkable. Twenty (20) minutes later our mains arrived – Duck and lamb. Both were only lukewarm. The chips we had ordered as a side were hot and tasty. We decided rather than wait another 20 minutes we would eat the lukewarm food. We didn’t finish either dish and left half of it behind. Nobody came near us during our mains to ask if all was ok, despite the table next to us getting two visits. When the table was being cleared the waiter then asked if everything was ok (which it obviously wasn’t). He then got his manager over who offered us complimentary desert / wine / cocktail / coffee. After such a wait for mains we would have needed to book a room had we ordered desert. We took the complimentary coffee, got the bill and left. Sadly, we are in no hurry to return to what used to be a really nice restaurant.

It's been a while since I've logged on to leave a review, but I felt I had to leave one about 'Wilde' at the Westbury. I've been here twice before and found it to be fantastic, but on my last visit (which has prompted me to leave this review) I was told by the waiting staff that they have changed chef and it has gone downhill with regards to the food. The staff as always are friendly, very courteous and what you'd expect when you're paying that type of money for a meal. Greeted with a smile and very helpful, they pay great attention to you and help with everything. Starting off the evening when picking the wine, the one I wanted was not available so the waiter brought out three different wines for me to taste. Atmosphere is ok, it was very quiet for a Friday evening but overall, a good start to the evening I thought, but unfortunately, the food really let it down. I ordered the salmon starter which was nothing to write home about and the steak for the main course. Which was what prompted me to leave this review. I've never sent food back in a restaurant but this was inedible, I'm not sure what the chef was doing but it tasted like he seasoned it with a full container of salt. The waiter insisted he'd send it back and have a new one in less than 5 minutes as I ordered mine rare. I waited 15 minutes before my steak came out, by then, the sides we had ordered were cold and my partner was long finished at this stage. I was hoping that this steak would turn it around but this steak came out worse, it tasted like this time, he put no salt on it. If a chef can't season a steak properly, he shouldn't be working in a restaurant that are charging that kind of money. Overall, the staff are friendly, but for that type of price (€90 including wine for 2) you really expect a good meal, take my advice and go elsewhere, there are plenty of decent restaurants in the city centre and unfortunately, Wilde is no longer one of them.

I had eaten here previously and it was one of my favorite restaurants for special occasions. However I was very disappointed with the food. The menu had completely changed, the old menu had a fantastic choice and specialized in steak but this menu was nothing special. When we asked the waiter about this he informed is that the chief had changed and that a number of customers had commented on the menu change. The starters were nice but the mains were a let down, I had the monk fish which was nice but a bit dry and served on a bed of cold mash. I was very surprised that a restaurant of this standard could serve cold food. My boyfriend had the steak which was over salted to the point that it wasn't eatable. When he mentioned it to the waiter he insisted he would have another one sent out within 5 minutes but this was more like 20 minutes. I had long finished my main and the side we had ordered to share was cold. The waiting staff were very professional and apologetic but unfortunately nothing can make up for poor food. They did discount the steak from the bill. I definitely expected much higher standards from a restaurant that charges these prices.

I ate here with 2 friends as I had a deal. It's a lovely restaurant, but at the time we went it was really empty, with ony 2 other tables and they did seat us all very close together, which I thought strange.I had the Crisp filo parcel for starter, which was good, and the Linguini pasta (I'm vegetarian) which was SO good. My friends were not overly impressed with their choices of Sea bass (nice, but very meager portion- she still felt hungry after) and steak (she requested medium, but received well done). The staff were so nice and offered to cook a new steak, but she declined as it would be so wasteful! Overall, the staff are very attentive and the food is really good, if a little pricey. The wine was great- I had the Argentinian Malbec - €10 for a glass but gorgeous!.I would go again, but only with another deal...

Ate here last night with 2 friends, since 1 had a deal. It's a beautiful restaurant with lovely windows, and we were sat right at the window. The service was great, but I wouldn't call it an overall amazing experience. There were maybe 4 tables in the restaurant and they sat us all next to each other. They should have spaced us out a bit to give everyone more privacy as there was an atmosphere of trying to be quiet as to not disturb the table next to you. This as well is a minor thing but the tables and chair squeaked whenever you moved, which was awkward when it was so quiet! As for the food, one friend had the pasta which looked great. Another friend had steak which was asked for Medium and came out well done. The staff apologized and offered to replace it, and then offered us a drink on the house. I had sea bass which was cooked lovely, but was a skimpy portion.

Treated myself and a friend to Wilde on a Tuesday evening. It was very quiet in the restaurant. Staff were polite and prompt in filling our water glasses. The food was devine! I had the mushroom celeriac soup to start and steak as main. They were really well presented and delicious!. Was really full after the 2 course but opt for the dessert too along with tea. Very impressed overall and can't wait to come back here when I receive my hi-life 2 for 1 diner's card!

Had dinner here last night and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left I could not find a single fault. Staff are exceedingly courteous. The food was superb. I had the chicken liver parfait to start and the pheasant 3 ways for my main. The presentation was lovely, everything that they put on the plate was there for a reason and not just for show. My friend had the steak, which was cooked exactly as he requested and it was absolutely delicious. We hadn't intended on getting desert but after seeing how good it was we decided it would be a shame not too. We had the pear flan and the white and dark mousse, again excellent. The whole experience was fantastic. It was the little extra touches that made it. Extra bread being brought to the table. Glasses being refilled before you even noticed they were empty. Chocolates with the pot of coffee at the end. The time left inbetween courses was just right we never felt rushed, our waiter even made a a point of telling us to take our time and enjoy out night. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for that little bit extra.

This is place is great! It was our first time there and we ordered from the Dine in Dublin Menu. We all took the foie gras starter, the fruits and brioche were delicious. The girls had a steak as a main, which were nicely presented, and I had the cod with mash potatoes and lobster sauce. The sauce could have been a little bit tastier and the mash potatoes a bit creamier, but I suppose it's just a matter of taste. The desserts looked fantastic and were generous. I loved the presentation of the parfait on slate. The little touches such as bread (we were 3 French girls, so yes, just give us good bread and we're happy), pre starter and pre dessert really made the night. There is respectful space between each table, and the lighting is discreet, everything was perfect for us on that night. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing evening out with excellent food.

We dined here last night and had the Dine in Dublin menu. It was a 3 course plus tea/coffee with a choice of 4 starters, mains and desserts for 30 euro. There was an excellent choice. The food was absolutely delicious. However it was the small touches that made the night. We had an amuse bouche to start and a small cornetto of chocolate mousse as a pre dessert. The petit fours with the teas/coffees were delicious, chocolate dipped strawberries and valhrona chocolate. On leaving the ladies in the group were presented with a small gift of steak seasoning, beautifully presented in a Westbury bag. The bill for 6 including two bottles of excellent New Zealand Sauvignon and 2 vodkas came to 275. An excellent meal!
